Abstract: The investigator has been selected (i) warm-up, (ii) motivation, and (iii) time of the day for physical performance as influencing factors of the reliability of physical proficiency test of (i) 30 feet shuttle-run, (ii) standing broad-jump, (iii) sit-ups for one minute. Eighty students of Bachelor Degree who are opted Physical Education, Health education and Sports subjects from different colleges affiliated to Manipur University were selected for this investigation. The Selection of the subjects was done purely on the basis of the specific purpose of the study and had certain level of physical proficiency so that all the subjects could perform all the variable test items of the study. After systematically analysed the data of the study it was found that the selected influencing measurement factors has been affected the reliability of the selected physical proficiency test.

Abstract: The management and planning of sports training at grass root level is an executive function, which is concerned with carrying out of the broad policies laid down for the training of upcoming youngsters. Such training is an urgent need, which involves working on different training models and methods and, at the same time, testing their efficiency and communicating it to concerned sport persons. In today's competitive world, it is necessary that a continuous search be carried out to tap hidden talent at early age. In this regard, appropriate methods of training must be used to develop budding sportsmen. In the last decade of this century, we have witnessed the significant impact of communication media in almost all branches of human life and sports are no exception. In the good old days, basic skills of any game and swimming, in particular, was a matter concerning only swimmers and their respective coaches? Frankly speaking, it was all subjective, although some exceptions may be cited. At present, we have audio-visual aids that attract beginners, keen in the developing the basic skills of the sport.

Abstract: In the last two decades Zimbabwe suffered severe socioeconomic and political crisis. The crisis was characterised by unprecedented rates of inflation which were exacerbated by political instability and economic sanctions. The economic challenges led to severe brain drain of Zimbabwe health professionals. The elements of a previously well maintained health care system severely deteriorated. Community health was therefore seriously compromised. Now that Zimbabwe seem to be on the recovery path this article critiques, reviews and justifies the potential contribution which sport and physical activity can make towards the achievement of community healthy objectives in Zimbabwe in line with millennium development goal number six. The content analysis and review identified that sport and physical activity can play a significant role in improving the health of members of the Zimbabwean community. It is apparent from the review that Sport and physical activity can help reduce the incidence of obesity, cardiovascular diseases, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, hypertension and many other health problems bedevilling the Zimbabwean society today and hence contribute towards the achievement of Millennium Development Goal number six.

Abstract: Dance is corporeal in nature and as such it is a physical art within the domains of anatomy, biomechanics, health, physics and physiology. Dance helps participants develop physical fitness and thus shares many of the health benefits of other sporting events. However in spite of this realization the uptake and adoption of traditional dance is not being prioritized in Zimbabwe. The situation on the ground seems to suggest that the rate of participation in traditional dance has gone down from historical times. This paper discusses the potential and positive effects of traditional dance on the health and fitness of Zimbabwean women. The study uses a mixed method approach and collected data through the use of a battery of tests and interviews. The findings and recommendations provided are expected to encourage Zimbabwean women to appreciate traditional dance as an alternative to organized sport and physical activity. The results indicate that Zimbabwean traditional dances do contribute to the health and fitness of Zimbabwean women. This study recommends that traditional dances should not be trivialized and the Ministry of Sports, Arts and Culture should invest in the promotion of traditional dances in order to complement sport and enhance the health and fitness of Zimbabwean women.
Key words: Health and fitness, Sport and Physical activity, Traditional dance, Zimbabwean women

Abstract: The reason for this study was to figure out the impact of disconnected and joined weight and plyometric preparing on chosen physical and physiological variables around school men. To confirm the progressions because of the impact of weight preparing on chosen physical and physiological variables around school men, plyometric preparing on chosen physical and physiological variables around school men. To confirm the progressions because of the joined impact of weight and plyometric preparing on chosen physical and physiological around school men. The reason for the study was to discover the impact of weight, Plyometric and Combined preparing on chosen physical and physiological variables to be specific hazardous force, husky perseverance, brawny quality, speed, resting beat rate, breathing holding time and cardiovascular continuance around school men. To realize the motivation behind this study, 80 school men learner were chosen at irregular from in and around the Krishna region of Andhra Pradesh, their age ran from 18-23 years. They were partitioned into four equivalent bunches and every gathering comprised 20 subjects. Group-An experienced weight preparing; Group-B experienced Plyometric preparing and Group-C experienced joined preparing for three days for every week for 12 weeks and Group D went about as a control that did not include any uncommon preparing separated from the customary curricular exercises. While plyometric preparing is requesting and place respectable push on the figure. The volume and power of the plyometric preparing inside every these categorise might be directed to low and high practice. The subject of the plyometric assembly cleared the base quality prerequisite test and exhibits both static and changing control test of their physique weight with single leg squat, low power place plyometric preparing.

Abstract: Background And Purpose Of The Study: Patello-femoral arthritis is the most common type of arthritis especially older people sometimes it is called as degenerative joint disease. Patello- femoral arthritis is one of the common causes of physical disability in adults. It is the second most common cause of chronic conditions. 50% of older persons after 55 years are affected. Some of the young people get arthritis from the joint injuries. Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in our nation more than other systemic diseases like heart diseases, cancer and diabetes. There are many therapeutic interventions for the treatment of patello-femoral arthritis. The study is to determine whether closed kinetic chain exercise offer any advantages over open kinetic chain exercises.
Method: The patients are randomly selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and divided into two groups. Group A and Group B. Group A is trained with closed kinetic chain exercise and Group B is trained with open kinetic chain exercises for a period of 12 weeks. the pre and post treatment readings of VAS and KUJALA scale are taken in both groups for statistical analysis.

Abstract: Wushu is an essential part of Chinese culture. It is highly valued for its defensive, health-preserving, entertaining and educational functions. It has a rich history and its development can be traced from the dawn of the Chinese civilization till its present status as a sports discipline aiming to enter the Olympic Games. The internationalization of Wushu being one of the main concerns in the context of its present development suggests the existence of comprehensible literature that can provide the non- Chinese reader with a better understanding of Wushu. Therefore, this paper introduces health-preserving, social-regulating and harmonizing functions of Wushu, the way they are reflected in its practice.
