Title | : | Optical Wireless Communication System with PAPR Reduction |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Minu Theresa Jose |
Abstract: Optical wireless communication has been recently proposed as a viable alternative to RF wireless communication. The optical wireless systems involve intensity modulation of the optical signal using various digital modulation schemes such as On-Off Keying (OOK), Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) and so on. Multicarrier modulation scheme known as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is the growing trend in LED optical wireless systems due to its inherent robustness against Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) as the symbol period of each subcarrier can be made longer than the delay spread of the multipath distortion. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a method of parallel transmission of data on multiple subcarriers............

Authors | : | Avinash A || Shima Sudhan P || Santhi Kumar K |
Abstract: In recent years, the electrical harmonic pollution is getting more and more serious with the far ranging use of nonlinear components in electric and electronic devices. The presence of harmonics in power system is a major concern to power engineers for many years. Harmonic Pollution increases industrial plant downtimes and power losses. Harmonic of an electrical signal is the content of the signal whose frequency is an integer multiple of the fundamental system frequency. The cause of harmonic in a power system is from highly nonlinear devices. In power system, harmonic analysis is use to determine the impact of harmonic producing load on a power system.............

Title | : | A Compact Dual Bandnotch Filter for ISM Applications |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sneha T || L. Punitha |
Abstract: A novel circuit structure of dual-band notch Fil-ters is proposed in this paper. This structure comprises two shunt-connected stepped impedance resonators with J Inverter,a transmission line in between. Theoretical analysis and design procedures are described. Insertion loss method is used to find the discrete filter design. The derived synthesis equations have two degrees of freedom which provide more design flexibility in filter synthesis. In this paper, A wide bandwidth micro-strip band-stop filter (BSF) is presented. For efficiently reduce the size of the filter. the filter operate in two ISM Bands.
Keywords: Bandstop filter(BSF), dual-band(DB) filter, filter synthesis, stepped-impedance resonator (SIR).

Title | : | Panoramic Image Creation |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sruthi P || Sruthi Dinesh |
Abstract: This paper presents an effective method in panoramic image creation. Here an automatic method of feature detection and feature mating using SIFT (Scale Invariant feature transform) algorithm has been used. SIFT algorithm is very robust method that can detect and describe local features in the image. Then find the overlapping area of these two images. A minimal cost path in the overlapping area of two images is found by dynamic programming method. This minimal-cost path (optimal seam) is used to stitch images. Dynamic programming is faster than other seam finding methods and uses little memory. The overlapping images are cut along the seam and merge together...............

Title | : | Distortion Issues in Direct Conversion Transmitters |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Praju Prathap || L. Punitha |
Abstract: In the wireless communication systems, due to the increasing demands for high data rate and high efficiency, several practical challenges arise in the design of directconversion trans-mitters. According to the existing literatures, power amplifier (PA) nonlinearity and local oscillator (LO) pulling are the most critical factors to deteriorate the transmit signal quality. In this work, the above two issues are carefully investigated so as to improve the resultant distortion of the DCT output signal. An integrated approach for PA linearization and anti-LO pulling is designed.

Title | : | A Two Stage Algorithm based on MRT for The Enhancement of Low Quality Fingerprint Images |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Ratheesh P.M || Rajin R |
Abstract: Out of a number of biometric identification systems, the most commonly used and the oldest method of identification is the fingerprint-based identification that has been effectively used in a diversity of applications. Brightness and Contrast enhancements have a significant role in fingerprint identification systems. Generally, the low contrast images are enhanced in spatial domain followed by other image processing methods in the transform domain. In this paper we are proposing a new simple, yet powerful method in fingerprint enhancement that uses a two stage image enhancement technique in spatial and transform domain for addressing low contrast and brightness...............

Authors | : | Sarath K || Sreejith S |
Abstract: In this paper, develop and compare two types of image enhancement method using fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic and histogram based algorithm for enhancing low contrast color images and another contrast enhancement technique using the concept of homomorphic filtering with fuzzy logic. These two methods have been compared with conventional contrast enhancement techniques. These methods are computationally fast compared to conventional and other advanced enhancement techniques. The performance of these contrast enhancement algorithms are evaluated based on the visual quality............
