Authors | : | Barawkar M. B. |
Abstract: This paper is a review of Devnagri character recognition. Generally character recognition system is divided into two types as online and offline character recognition system. Process of character recognition involves the common steps as preprocessing, segmentation and feature extraction. Feature extraction is used to classify an unknown handwritten character into one of the known classes. Finally character gets recognized by pattern matching. In case of character recognition system especially Devnagri character recognition is more complicated as it having multiple loops, conjuncts, upper and lower modifiers and the number of disconnected and multistroke characters. Keywords – Classification, Devnagri Character, Feature Extraction, Recognition and Segmentation.

Authors | : | Bachkar Y. R. || Gupta A.R. || Pathan W.A. |
Abstract: In our day to day life, we observe that the communication of speechless/mute patients with normal peoples find many difficulties. Usually speechless patients communicate in sign languages that is not understood by normal peoples. As we know that visual communication is more effective than verbal communication, so by considering this phenomenon we inspired to have some technological system for communication of speechless patients. We have designed the project that focuses on ease of communication between the speech impaired patients or people with the others. The project consists of the glove that translates the bending movement of the fingers into voice or speech signal using Flex sensors. AVR Microcontroller processes the binary data from flex sensors and further the voice module processes on the microcontroller output to produce speech signal. The message spoken through the speaker is also displayed on the LCD display.

Abstract: We want to offer furniture that makes a difference in everyday life. Good design that combines style, comfort and functionality. Innovation is not just a name, but what we do. Innovations in small space living have never been as in-demand as they are now. As people move closer to the city, they're being forced to move into apartments with tighter spaces as architecture in metropolitan cores grows upward instead of out. This cluster highlights some of the most useful small space living innovations, from ceiling-mounted beds to wall decals that stand in for those replaces or pets you just don't have room for anymore. Implications - Partly due to the lay out and administration of modern mega cities, space has become an increasingly rare commodity. Here's a brilliant way to increase storage space in an incredibly small room.

Authors | : | Pangavhane S. M. || Choudhary Sohanlal || Pathak Bhavik |
Abstract: Army's welfare is one of the most important aspects of any country. It is our duty to equip soldier with better advanced technology. This paper helps to track the soldier at any given moment using GPS. In this paper, soldier's health parameters such as heart rate and body temperature are continuously measured and transmitted wirelessly to the control room using GSM. In case of death of the soldier, the processor detects the change in pulse rate and location of the dead soldier; tracked by the GPS module is then communicated to the military base station by the use of GSM. This information can be used to devise war strategies as to how many more soldiers (and where) should be deployed to replace the martyrs. In case of emergency, soldier can communicate directly to the base station using a panic switch. Keywords - Tracking, GPS, GSM, ARM, Biosensors

Title | : | MMQA: Multimedia Answer Generation for Community Question Answering System |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Handore S. A. || Ganeshwade M. M. |
Abstract: Community question answering (cQA) services have accomplished quiet popularity over the past years. It helps user to get information from a comprehensive set of well-answered questions. Existing community question-answering forums usually provide only textual answers. However, for many questions, pure texts cannot provide intuitive information, while image or video contents are more appropriate. In this paper, we propose a scheme that is able to improve textual answers in cQA with appropriate multimedia data. MMQA consists of three components in its scheme, those are Answer medium selection, Query generation for multimedia search, and Multimedia data selection and presentation.

Title | : | Classification of Imbalanced Data using Fitness Functions |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Pundlik A. A. || Patil B. J. || Boraste P.P. |
Abstract: Fitness functions are use to get better accuracy when datasets are Imbalanced i.e .data sets are divided into minority and majority classes. Classifiers have good accuracy on the majority classes but very poor accuracy on the minority classes. There are two approaches to classify Imbalanced data such as external and internal. External approach uses Transforming & Sampling from original unbalanced dataset. Internal approach uses Cost adjustment with the help of fitness function in the uneven distribution of dataset during the training process. The fitness function plays a very important role in Genetic Programming to obtain the best solutions within a large search space more effectively & efficiently. This paper developed fitness functions like Amse, Incr, Corr and Dist with Naive Bayes and Support vector machine methods.

Abstract: Traditional voting process is fully manual and paper based which was very time consuming and prone to security. As technology developed, electronic based voting systems were still prone to electoral frauds and voters have to make tremendous efforts in order to cast their ballots. The proposed system is secure mobile voting which will overcome all these issues. So the proposed system uses fingerprint textures for voting process as the fingerprint shows most promising future in real world applications. Because of their uniqueness and consistency over time fingerprint have been used for identification and authentication purpose.The mobile equipment used will be in the form of Smart phone with Android OS.

Authors | : | Verma S.V. || Jadhav S. N. || M.S.Wadatkar |
Abstract: K means is one of the oldest algorithms, which is widely used for clustering of images as well as data. Clustering makes the analysis much simpler and easier. K means is used in many applications and many study related programs. But in this paper we are going to compare couple of improved K means clustering algorithms. Here we are going to compare Modified K Means (MKM) with Adaptive Fuzzy K Means (AFKM) clustering algorithm for image as well as data. As we know K means was mostly used for biomedical, microscopic, satellite images only but here MKM and AFKM can be used for normal image which is taken from CCD, mobile camera, and digital cameras. Both the above mentioned algorithms are based on conventional K means technique. Here we are also using percentage scored in engineering students for data analysis.
