Abstract: This paper examines the facets of exploring family history through genealogical research. There is an emerging trend in searching family history. Family people are now taking up research about their ancestor's m about their genealogy, they are running to find their respective family members who are away. They are creating a family tree and producing a family chronicle to relate to their family members. Many families do not know anything about their family history except their names. Specially grandparents, their place or their occupation. Tracing family history through genealogists and family historian is a popular concept it the western countries but in India family historians are rarely seen while genealogy is traced by the local revenue department officials as per the information provided by the person in need of a genealogy tree certificate. History is replete with references from chronological arrangement in the kingship, royal houses and the nobility. history is often traced from kings and the list have been maintained through literary documents. But the genealogy of the general populace is not maintained.

Abstract: This paper examines the skills gaps in historical research and focuses on strategies providing for innovative courses across all higher education Institutions. The development to historical research has been a much hampered subject because of several component issues. The studies on this subject have shown that lack of skilled human resource , lack of funding, lack of responses, lack of knowledge and lack of progression have been detrimental in the process of historical research. The declining rates of enrollment to social science subjects often hamper the progress of the subject. Higher education sector can support historical research through new and pioneering short term certificate courses & add on courses. Historical research has to be promoted because the lack of historical knowledge is leading to erroneous interpretation of history and also destruction of historical monuments..

Abstract: Conservation of manuscripts or documents can be a profession with increasing amplification of knowledge storing through digital media there have been several opening s of careers in MSC Types of training available types of courses available can be very helpful. Conservator is responsible for long term preservation of artistic & cultural artifacts. They analyze & assess the condition of cultural property understanding the process & evidence of deterioration planning collections care or site management strategies that prevent damage carrying out conservation treatments conducting research in all of the areas previously indicated. It is an interdisciplinary area involving practices sciences & humanities. a conservator often faces the challenges of collecting, safeguarding & conserving the document. But conservation demands several dimensional approaches as it demands inter disciplinary support. An integrated strategy towards making conservation simpler, hassle free & complication free is needed to understand & identify the problems of conservation & a conservator has to play the roles of a specialist, technician & an expert besides being a heritage lover.

Abstract: This paper examines the issues relating to historical research through digital curation methods and focuses on the need to disseminate information to historical researchers on the uses and re use of digital curation approaches. Digital curation is an emerging trend in historical research. There are demanding research orientation following the increase of use of digital tools historical research arena is also supported by digital tools. Digital curation is the selection, preservation, maintenance collection and archiving of digital assets. It refers to the process of establishing and developing long term repositories of digital assets for current and future reference by academicians. wide range of knowledge of multidisciplinary dimensions including meta data , preservation, knowledge representation, digital libraries, ethics, rights management, new technological applications, cloud souring technique etc are needed. Curating digital materials so as to ensure their continued access has emerged as a major initiative for information organizations including libraries and archives. They require constant maintenance as technologies change there is a need for perpetual maintenance.

But the emerging trend in historical scholarship says that there are considerable careers openings in this subject and digital revolution has furthered additional, consistent and creative careers in historical scholarship.
