Authors | : | K.V.N.Parvathi || CH.Sai Krupa || K.Gayatri |
Abstract: Hybrid Composites Are Usually Used When A Combination Of Properties Of Different Types Of Fibres Have To Be Achieved, Or When Longitudinal As Well As Lateral Mechanical Performances Are Required. In This Work Unidirectional Carbon And Woven Glass Fabric Used As Fibres To Form A Hybrid Composite Laminate. Whereas Epoxy And Polyester Resins Used Individually In Different Laminates As Matrix. These Laminates Were Made In 0-90,+-45,And +-55 Degree Orientations. These Specimens Are Prepared In The Laboratory Using Compression Moulding Technique. Tensile Test Is Performed On The Above Laminates To Estimate Ultimate Tensile Stress And Later These Specimens Are Undergone To Cyclic Loading On Fatigue Testing Equipment To Study The Fatiigue Failure Behaviuor Of Composite Laminates

Abstract: Military Weapons Operate In Harsh Battlefield Noisy Environment And The Voice Command And Control Need Robust Man Machine Interface (Mmi). In This Paper, We Present Two Methods To Achieve Robustness. Firstly, Incorporate Error Tolerance Techniques And Secondly, Adapt Pronunciation Of The Speaker. Phonemic Distance Measurement Algorithms Are Used For Measuring The Phonetic Distance Between Various Commands And Their Pronunciation Variations. The Algorithms Are Implemented Using Java And The Data Sets Are Taken From Timit Database And Cmu Pronunciation Dictionary. The Performance Of The New System Is More Robust When Compared With Existing Systems.

Title | : | Comparison Of Bowman And Ronald Lmtd Correction Charts |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Saggarla Murali |
Abstract:Mean Temperature Difference is a key factor for accurate design of shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. However, Accuracy of this depends on method by which it has been evaluated. Numerous Investigations have contributed analysis of the mean temperature difference for Heat Exchangers and presented them in the form of equations and Charts. When making heat exchanger calculations, Engineers generally rely on correction Charts. Perhaps, these charts on plain paper are not suitable for Automated Design, accurate reading is difficult and time consuming. This limitation can be greatly reduced by using CAD LMTD (Log MeanTemperature Difference) correction charts. This paper includes brief study review of the literature on Mean Temperature Difference to date and comparison of the graphs of Bowman and Ronald has been made. Further, The study has been extended to CAD LMTD correction charts for automated design. These charts have shown prominent to the user and provide good results with greater reading ability and accuracy

Title | : | Analysis Of An Active Vehicle Suspension System With Controllers Using Simulation |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Bejagam Naga Raju || Bonu Naveen Kumar || Payaavula Rajendra Mouli |
Abstract: Traditionally automotive suspension designs have been a compromise between three conflicting criteria of road holding, load carrying and passenger comfort. The suspension system must support the vehicle, provide directional control during handling maneuvers and provide effective isolation of passenger payload from road disturbances. Good ride comfort requires a soft suspension whereas insensitivity to applied load requires stiff suspension. Good handling requires a suspension setting somewhere between the two. The objective of the project is to develop an active control law for the suspension system , for this only a quarter model of the vehicle suspension system with two degree of freedom is conceived and then effect of various types of input (Step, impulse) on the passive.............

Title | : | Thermo Acoustic Refrigeration |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | T. Somasekhar || P.Naveen Kishore |
Abstract: Thermoacoustic refrigeration is an emerging refrigeration technology which does not require any moving parts or harmful refrigerants in its operation. This technology uses acoustic waves to pump heat across a temperature gradient. The vast majority of thermoacoustic refrigerators to date have used electromagnetic loudspeakers to generate the acoustic input. In this thesis, the design, construction, operation, and modeling of a thermoacoustic refrigerator are detailed. The developed theoretical and experimental tools can serve as invaluable means for the design and testing of other piezoelectrically-driven thermoacoustic refrigerator configurations.

Authors | : | C. Hari Venkateswara Rao || P. Usha Sri || R. Ramanarayanan |
Abstract: Nano composites are found in a number of places and the use of nanoparticle-rich materials predates the understanding of the nature of these materials. In recent times nano composites have provided the aerospace industry with a variety of material solutions. The aim of this experiment is to investigation study on PAN based composite laminates with Nano filler with %age of weight made by hand layup technique. The oven cured laminate subjected to destructive testing as per ASTM standard to evaluate the thermal properties of said laminates. The experimental studies investigate resin content, ILSS, DSC, TGA and ablation studies with help of Oxy-acetylene test bed. The test results are revealed that PAN based laminates with adding Nano filler exhibits the better thermal properties compared without adding nano filler laminate. This experimental study results are very much useful to make a composite materials for better thermal applications in aerospace industry.

Authors | : | Sunil || P V Ramana |
Abstract: In this experiment flow characteristics of air is investigated when air flows through the circular tube having porous medium. In this experiment porous medium is made by G I material and study is done on G I material. The flow characteristics like frictional factor, Nusselts number and Reynolds number are investigated for varying the porosity and pitch of the porous medium. The results of circular tube with porous medium are compared with circular tube without porous medium.
