ABSTRACT: Mono-sex culture of male Nile tilapia is preferred because of their faster growth than females. This study was conducted to investigate fish growth performance and sex reversal efficiencies by oral MT administration. The Feeding on the hormone-treated diets was initiated at 2, 6 and 10 days after the yolk-sac disappearance. Three control treatments were set-up for each treatment where fry were not exposed to MT. Water was replaced after every two days. Fry were fed 5% body weight three times daily at 10 am, 12 noon and 4pm. At the end of each experiment all fingerlings were dissected for gonadal sex determination using the aceto-carmine squash method. All the treatments containing MT produced significantly (p<0.05) higher proportion of males compared to the control treatment.........

ABSTRACT: A study was carried out to investigate the effects of grain type on growth performance production economics of weaner rabbits in 84days feeding trial. Fifteen weaner rabbits of mixed breeds (Chinchilla, Flemish giant, Dutch, California brown and Newzea land) and average initial weight of 684.33g were randomly allotted to three dietary treatments according to live weight in a complete randomized design (CRD). Diet 1 contained white maize, diet 2 contained white sorghum and diet 3 contained red sorghum. Maize and sorghum served as the main energy sources in the diets. Each treatment consists of five (5) rabbits, replicated five times with one rabbit per replicate..........

ABSTRACT: This research was carried out in West Merapi District, Lahat Regency, from July to August 2019. This selection of the location was done intentionally (purposive). The consideration of choosing the location is that there should be farmers who had sold their coffee plantation land to coal mining entrepreneurs.. The method used in this study was a survey method. This method was carried out directly to the location of the study and conducted interviews with respondents. The samples were the farmers who sell coffee plantation land. From the total number of farmera, the data for the number of sample farmers is 45 people. The results of this Pearson Correlation, strategy done by the respondents showed a positive relationship with financial asset and natural resource asset. Meanwhile, there was no correlation among the condition of physical, financial, and natural resource assets.

ABSTRACT:Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is one of the important oil producing crops cultivated in India. It has several importances in dye industry, pharmaceutical industry and food industry. Some biotic and abiotic stresses affect the production of safflower. Among all the biotic stress uroleocon compositae theobald is the main pest which reduces the crop yield. To control this pest many integrated pest management strategies have evolved. Plantation of host plants around the field, intercropping systems, introducing natural enemies, sowing patterns, insecticides and biopesticides can effectively control safflower aphid. This review gives the count on effectiveness of synthetic insecticides and botanical pesticides against safflower aphid Uroleocon compositae.

ABSTRACT:The research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of herbal drinks from extracts basil leaves, lemongrass and lime leaves on cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood of broiler. The experimental design used was completely Randomized Designed with six treatments and four replicates with five broiler chicken per replicates. The ration was formulated to contain 3000 kcal/kg metabolizable energy (ME) and 22% of crude protein (CP). The treatments were as follows: P0: control (vaccines treatment), T1: basal ration with herbal drinks 10% concentration, T2: basal ration with herbal drinks 20% concentration, T3: basal ration with herbal drinks 30% concentration, T4: basal ration with herbal drinks 40% concentration and T5: basal ration with herbal drinks 50% concentration. Variables observed were cholesterol and triglyceride. The result indicated that utilization of herbal drinks up to 50% concentration significant on (p<0.05) on cholesterol and triglyceride concentration.

ABSTRACT: Fusarium wilt acts as a limiting factor for the yield of tomato for which Trichoderma spp. has been evidently used as a biological control agent. The most dominant species and causative agent of Fusarium wilt was identified as Fusarium oxysporum. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the activity of Trichoderma harzianum isolates towards to control Fusarium wilt on controlled tomato plant . Investigation of T. harzianum was performed under in vitro and in vivo conditions against the pathogen (Fusarium oxysporum). Three native Trichoderma antagonists were isolated from fifteen soil samples of different geographical regions of Eastern Nepal. Under in vitro conditions.........

ABSTRACT: Mechanization of agriculture aims to increase labor productivity, improve land productivity, and lower production costs. The use of tools and machinery in the production process is intended to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, quality of results and reduce the workload of farmers. This study aimed to analyze the level of productivity, net income and factors (net income, employment, age, land and education) that affect farmers and non-users mechanization mechanization of rice farming in tidal swamp land Barito Kuala. The research was conducted in the District Mandastana with a total sample of 80 farmers. The samples were taken by simple random sampling method. The results showed that the productivity and net income exhibited significantly different between farmers......
