ABSTRACT: Nutrients and microbial evaluations of the African catfish, Clarias gariepinus dried at various temperatures were determined. Twenty freshly caught fish samples were obtained from the fish production unit, Federal College of Agriculture, Ishaigu, Ebonyi State. The Adult catfish were divided into four groups of five each: one groupwas used to determine the nutrient composition of the raw fish while the otherthree were dried using electric oven at temperatures of 1000C, 1500C, 2000C, 2500C. Mean Crude protein, Ether extract, Crude fibre, Ash and moisture content of raw fish were 17.18±3.63, 2.35±2.95, 0.12±0.12, 2.19±1.12 and 76.46±2.00 respectively. The Crude protein obtained at 1000C, 1500C, 2000C and 2500C was 53.67±3.86, 63.33±3.02, 57.98±2.46 and 59.85±1.85 respectively while the moisture content was 9.08±0.79, 8.71±0.77, 10.06±1.22 and 8.46±0.26 at 1000C, 1500C, 2000C, 2500C respectively..........

ABSTRACT: The fish stocks in Iraq are an important source of food security, as well as its nutritional and economic importance. In terms of nutritional importance, fish meat is characterized by its high content of animal protein, fat, many vitamins and various mineral elements. The reason of its economic importance is because it provides an important income, as the trade of fish and its products provides foreign currencies and contributes to improving the trade balance. It also provides employment opportunities for many human resources in different countries. As for Iraq, despite the availability of basic resources such as human, financial and water for the growth and.........

ABSTRACT: The modern swine industry has in recent years, advanced into technologies aiming the increase of yield and meat quality, as well as economic performance of the hole segment. Innovations methods of castration and metabolic additives have been evaluated, in special the use of immunocastration and ractopamine addition in the feed. Although the production growth and industrial gains of these technologies are already well discussed, the real impact of employment together or isolated on the technological meat quality and its effect on the biochemical matrix, requires further study. Therefore, this scientific research was directed to evaluate the effects, concentrating on changes.........

ABSTRACT: Wheat is one of the most important economic crops because it is a strategic crop that contributes to achieving food security and has a significant effect on the trade balance. Therefore, the objective of the research is to estimate the economic efficiency of wheat crop through its technical and customization branches. A random questionnaire was collected from 49 farmers from wheat farmers in Baghdad Governorate / Radhwaniya. The relationship between wheat production, seed quantity, fertilizer, labor, and area using the data envelopment analysis method and the Distributed Evolutionary Algorithms in Python (DEA) program was estimated. The average of technical, economic and customization efficiency at the sample level was 0.56, 0.43 and 0.24 respectively. Therefore, the research recommended attention to non-price factors as well, as they contribute to encouraging farmers to increase their areas and production, and to encourage farmers to use optimal quantities of resources and develop their administrative capabilities

ABSTRACT: As exogenous enzymes inclusion in aqua-feed is increasing in our country, a study was conducted to evaluate the effects of a exogenous multi enzyme on the growth, blood parameters and flesh compositions of Labeo rohita for 90 days feeding trail in twelve cages set in the pond of Department of Fisheries, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. The study was conducted under 4 treatments with 4 types of feeds prepared by using aquazyme plus (trade name) at the rate 0.0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 g/Kg feed treated as T1 (Control), T2, T3 and T4, respectively. The study was carried out through measuring growth and feed utilization parameters (Weight gain, SGR, FCR and survival rate), blood parameters (WBC, RBC, Hb, PCV, MCV, MCH and MCHC) and flesh compositions (moisture, crude protein, lipid, ash and.......

ABSTRACT: This experiment was conducted in the field at Candikuning village, Tabanan regency, Bali, Indonesia, to investigate the rate of composting potato crop residues (pcr), added-soils (as) and cow rumen wastes (crw) and to analysis the nutrients of the mature compost. Composting was performed using Indore pit method. Six treatments imposed were 1) mixture of pcr+as(1:3 v/v) (R0ka); 2) mixture of pcr+as(2:2 v/v) (R0kb); 3) mixture of pcr + as (3:1 v/v) (R0kc); 4) mixture of pcr + as (1:3 v/v) + crw (R1ka); 5) mixture of pcr + as (2:2 v/v) + crw (R1kb); 6) mixture of pcr + as (3:1 v/v) + crw (R1kc). Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Results of the experiment indicated that adding cow rumen wastes into mixture of pcr + added-soils.......

ABSTRACT: A 56 day feeding trial was conducted to determine the effect of rumen content biodegraded sweet orange peel on haematological and serum biochemical parameters of broiler chickens. Fresh rumen content (RC) was collected daily from eviscerated cattle and fresh sweet orange peels (SOP) were collected daily from orange retailers. The SOP was mixed thoroughly with one kilogram of RC in a ratio of 1SOP: 0.3 RC. The mixture was put in polythene bags, tied and left to ferment for 48 hours and then sun-dried. The dried mixture was separated from the RC, milled and......
