ABSTRACT: This study was carried out to determine the effect of laurel (Laurel nobilis L.) leaves at different levels on chemical composition, some fermentation characteristics, dry matter intake, dry matter digestibility and relative feed value of sugar beet leaves silages. Laurel leaves were added to sugar beet leaves at the levels of 0 % (control), 1, 2 and 4 with four replicates. After 75 days, jars were opened. By adding laurel leaves to sugar beet leaves silages, dry matter (P<0.001), NDF (P<0.05) and ADF (P<0.05) contents increased, and the crude ash (P<0.001) and crude protein (P<0.05) contents decreased. The differences in pH, propionic acid, butyric acid contents were not found significant (P>0.05). Ammonia nitrogen and acetic acid content could not be determined in experiment silages. Dry matter intake, dry matter digestibility and relative feed value decreased with laurel leaves supplement (P> 0.05). It has been determined that the laurel leaves have a positive effect on sugar beet leaves silage, especially its chemical composition

ABSTRACT: A male, Mullinoise breed a police (K9) dog, 30 kg weight and of 4 years old, had been brought to the Veterinary Clinical Hospital, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah, Iraq, Anal sac disease or Hemorrhoids was suspected, Since, the diseased animal show signs of discomfort, specially when forced to set down, straining with difficult defecation, However, The animal drags his butts upward or arch its back, and bad odors or scents come from its anal area. The diseased dog tries lick its anus sometimes, Moreover on rectal examination by a finger, small bulging gland like mass located at the left and right side of the anus was detected and could be seen even from outside, Furthermore, the vital signs of the diseased dog show, body temperature (38.4C), the heart rate was 110/ min, respiratory rate of 33/ mint. In addition, examination of blood parameters indicates a slight increase of PCV value.......

ABSTRACT: The production of varieties is able to be conducted through hybridization or mutation with the base of local varieties with the purposeof getting superior varieties that have potential such as high productivity, short life cycle and preferred by farmer and consumer. Genetic diversity can be expanded by hybridization which combine the desired characteristics by the parentthus new populations are able to be obtained as thematerial for selection in the production of new high yielding varieties. This study aims to determine the character of productivity.......

ABSTRACT: Background: Valuation of the benefits of trees has emerged as a novel and more direct way of fortifying tree protection and sustenance of environmental quality. This study focuses on the valuation of the intangible benefits of trees on farmland and the farmers' willingness to incorporate trees or retain trees on their farmlands in Ikwerre Local Government Area. Materials and Methods: Five towns were purposively selected in Ikwerre LGA and four villages were randomly selected in each towns. Questionnaire was administered to twenty (20) farmers in each village making a total of 100 farmers in Ikwerre LGA, Rivers State. Data were collected using open and closed ended structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive structure (tables and charts) and inferential(binary logistic regression.......

ABSTRACT: The aridity of the Sahel climate and anthropic activities constitute factors hampering the production of several legumin species. This study conducted in the rural district of Guéchémé aims at assessing the fruit yield of the A. senegal gum site of the village terroir of Lido. The methodology consisted in complete collections of fruit from randomly selected A. senegal trees. The grain and hull food values have been determined from samples analyzed at the biochemical laboratory. The results indicated that the average fruit production per A. senegal tree on the gum site varied from 9.86 ± 4.95 Kilograms, its average production per hectare was 1235.78 kilograms corresponding to 1530947 fruits. The average number of grains of 100 fruits was 311,1 ± 85,78 and the average weight of the grains contained in 100 fruits was 0.0303 ±.....

ABSTRACT: Red Onion (Allium cepa L.) is an annual crop that is widely cultivated by farmers to function as a food seasoning and traditional medicine. In a planting area there is often competition between plants to obtain nutrients, water, sunlight and growing space. One effort that can be done to overcome this is by adjusting plant spacing and mulching. At the optimum spacing, an optimum leaf area index will be obtained, so that the formation of dry plant material will be maximum. Mulching is one way to improve soil air condition and availability. water for plants. This study aims to analyze the interaction between plant spacing and organic mulch as well as the single factor of spacing and organic mulch on the growth and yield of red onion. The study was held in May to August 2019. The research site in Senaken Village, Tanah Grogot District, Paser Regency The research design used was.....

ABSTRACT: This study was designed to investigate criteria and classification of credit access of small farmers in
the District of Boane, Maputo Province, Mozambique using a cluster analysis approach. The objective is to
group farmers according to the similarity of their characteristics (risk profiles), in relation to the determinants
of access to credit that will allow the researcher to classify the study group as worthy of credit or least credited
using metrics, namely accessibility to borrowing, repayment capacity, credit term and socioeconomic
characteristics of borrowers. Thirty (30) farmers were selected to compose different configurations by using
structured questionnaires, interviews and standard analytical test methods to determine the properties of the
data applied in the selected metrics in the current literature and draw conclusions. In the classification of
potential farmers benefiting from agricultural credit, the K -means clustering algorithm used identified two
groups (cluster 1 and cluster 2) that are extremely heterogeneous, while, within each group, farmers tend to
have homogeneous characteristics...
