ABSTRACT: Geckos, particularly West Africa's endemic Ancylodactylus africanus, face extinction threats from anthropogenic and socio-cultural pressures. This study combined community surveys (n=100 Nigerian residents via WhatsApp convenience sampling) with bioinformatics to assess ecological perceptions and genomic conservation. ABSTRACT: Developing countries have continuously been involved in programs of agricultural development, and one of such intervention was implemented for Ebonyi State a dedicated agrarian part of Nigeria. It becomes imperative to assess if the realisations of these interventions are fit for purpose. This study sets out to evaluate the impact of the rice value chain development program (VCDP) on the income and productivity of rice farmers in Ebonyi State. A combination of stratified and simple random sampling techniques was used to obtain data from 214 rice farmers – the farmer program participants and non-participants - through a well-structured questionnaire instrument.
