ABSTRACT: The influence of three medicinal plants extracts i.e. Neem (Azadirachta indica), Solanum (Solanum nigrum L), and Indian ginseng or Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera L) that were used for tomato seed germination c.v. Fatema and TY727 (F1) before transplanting in pots with sterilized soil on Meloidogyne incognita infection was studied under greenhouse conditions 30±5°C. Results indicated that all of the tested extracts protected and improved tomato plant growth of either Fatema or TY to a certain extent. Among all tested materials, neem extract at 5 % gave the highest increment in fresh weight of the whole plant with values of 144.9 % and 183.1 %, respectively. The same trend was observed with respect to shoot dry weight and number of leaves of either tomato cultivars.............

Title | : | Grape Diseases And pests on the Territory of Today's Czech Republic During The Reign of Austro-Hungarian Empire |
Country | : | |
Authors | : | Jiří Sedlo || Lubomír Lampíř |
ABSTRACT: The middle of the 19th century was a disaster for the whole vine-growing Europe. New grape diseases and pests gradually spread with plants imported from the Atlantic Ocean. Over fifty years the vineyard area decreased by 40% of the original acreage. The biggest threat was phylloxera, against which there was finally found the best environmental solution. The minor problems, such as powdery and downy mildews of vine, were solved by annual application of chemical products for over 150 years now. In this article, we discuss how the disaster was spread over the territory of today's Czech Republic and how it was addressed.

ABSTRACT: A field experiment was conducted during 2014-2015 and 2015-16 on integrated nutrient management in maize and its residual effect on groundnut under maize-groundnut crop sequence in Southern telanagana region. The plot receiving combination of residual 50% RDF+50% RDN through urban compost (M5) and 100% RDF (S1) exerted significant effect on most of the growth parameters at different stages of succeeding groundnut. The maximum increase in the growth parameters like plant height, dry matter accumulation of groundnut were obtained due to residual effect of residual 50% RDF+50% RDN through urban compost (M5) through 100% RDF (S1) and was closely followed by the treatments having residual 50% RDF+50% RDN through FYM (M3) and 100% RDF(S1). With regard to interaction between residual treatments and fertilizer levels was not observed during both years of study.

ABSTRACT: trial to produce orange fruits free from pesticides residues was conducted in a private farm in the desert area, where expansion in fruit production is restricted to these areas. In this experiment the farm program of using chemicals to control the fruit fly was examined against using Guava plats with insecticide, poisonous traps and pheromone traps. The results of the first season using guava traps and liquid traps were not promising and as such the pheromone traps and chemical treatment were only applied in the 2nd season. Results of mass trapping showed less numbers of captured fruit flies in the first stages of fruit ripening as the colour of the fruits was still green during October and November........

ABSTRACT: Lymphomas, cancers originating in components lymphopoietic, are very common in dogs. The most used diagnostic methods for canine lymphoma are histopathology and immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry is a technique employing labeled antibodies able to identify antigens ¨in situ¨, which score in this type of neoplasm and the degree of cell proliferation. The most commonly used markers for canine lymphoma are B lymphocytes (CD79a), T (CD3) lymphocytes and cell proliferation marker Ki -67. This paper reports a case of a dog, the English Bulldog breed, which was diagnosed lymphoma, and by immunophenotyping showed positive to negative for B (CD79a) T lymphocytes (CD3) and lymphocytes, and demonstrated a high degree of malignancy based the pattern of cell proliferation by Ki -67. Histological classification type of cell pattern was seen centroblastic representing high-grade malignancy.

ABSTRACT: Most of the existing walnut trees in Albania are seedlings and notably variable in production and nut quality. Walnut propagation is achieved by using seeds coming from valuable varieties. This type of propagation produces a large number of plants with various characteristics into the walnut orchards. The present study aimed to experiment the influence of light intensity and xylem flux flow on success of walnut budding. 60 potted (3x20) seedling where budded in the shade with about 3500 lux light intensity, while 60(3x20) seedlings were held and were budded in the field. The percentages of budding success were measured 4 weeks after budding. The budding of walnut seedlings (potted seedlings) that are located in low-intensity environment 3000-4000 lux has a higher percentage of success compared with those seedlings that are located in direct light (in the field) with high light intensity, 20000-30000 lux. Also, four budding times were applied as follow: 24 of may,2 of june,11 of June and 19 of Juner.........
