Abstract: Saraca indica L. (Ashok) is an evergreen tree of Caesulpinaceae. Their leaves are paripinnate with orange coloured flowers. Bark of this tree is rich in tannins, flavonoids, steroids, volatile oil, glycosides, and various steroidal glycosides. Leaves contain various carbohydrates, tannins, gallic acid and egallic acid. Flowers are rich in sarcasin, sarcadin, waxy substances, proteins, carbohydrates and steroids. Seeds of this plant contain various fatty acids like oleic, linoleic, palmitic and stearic acid. This plant has many uses mainly in the medicine to treat the women gynecological disorders, in all types of abnormal discharges from vagina, in uterine inertia, uterine pain, urinary........

Abstract: Adiponectin is exclusively expressed in white adipose tissue. ADIPOQ gene is located on chromosome 3q27 has been identified as T2DM susceptibility locus by genomic studies. Adiponectin modulates a number of metabolic processes including glucose regulation and fatty acid metabolism by exerting antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory and antiatherogenic effects. Many single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been detected in ADIPOQ gene, which are associated with a variety of disorders. Mutations in different regions of adiponectin gene have been reported to be associated with obesity, atherosclerosis and type 2 diabetes mellitus.The present study was aimed to find out the distribution of SNP45T>G of Adiponectin gene and its association with offsprings of type 2 diabetes.The healthy volunteers who are aged between 18- 22 years of either sex, studying in our institutions........

Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder that affects 1 in 10 women of childbearing age. Women with PCOS have a hormonal imbalance and metabolism problems that may affect their overall health and appearance. The present study aims to correlate the clinical findings in PCOS with two gene variants in FSHR gene and TNF-α gene as a preliminary study in south Indian population. Abstract: Mucins are gel forming extensively glycosylated, high molecular weight glycoproteins. Sugar molecules in glycoproteins are highly diverse in structure and generally conserved. Sometimes these sugar molecules stimulates certain types of chemicals and send messages in to the nucleus and interferes the genes and causes effect of disease in cells. Glycosylation plays a key role in antibody recognition. Glycosides are quiet heterogeneous in structure, generally carbohydrates play major role in protein folding, structure of cells etc., when antibodies are introduced to them and they turn out their function. By understanding the glycobiology of mucin proteins can lead to development of drug. So it becomes an attractive factor in drug design. Abstract: Dyslipidemia has been identified as one of the most important risk factor associated with cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Absence of abnormal conventional lipid profile may not eliminate the risk of CVD in diabetics. Novel lipid ratios such as atherogenic index of plasma, atherogenic coefficient, castelli risk index I & II and non HDL-C have been found to indicate the level of atherogenicity and hence are suggested to be a better predictor of CVD in diabetes. This cross-sectional study was conducted for 2 months involving 50 diabetic and 50 healthy individuals. Lipid profile and plasma glucose levels were estimated. Abstract: The ameliorating effect of exogenous application of ascorbic acid (AA) in combination with NaCl under in vitro culture on growth and associated biochemical parameters in Saccharum genotypes Co 0118 and Co 0238 were studied in the presence and absence of ascorbic acid (1mM) in combination with NaCl [0 (control), 20, 40, 80, 160 and 200 mM]. Plant growth measurements like shoot length, fresh weight, number of shoot per explant and antioxidant enzyme activities peroxidase and catalase were recorded and found significant after 4 weeks. NaCl containing medium shows the reduced growth and antioxidants activity in all the combination as compare to ascorbic acid containing medium. The AA application not only.......

However, this demand is not matched with adequate supply, as successive West African governments have continued to rely on fossil fuel and traditional biomass which do not only degrade the environment but are unsustainable, inadequate, and have been a perennial source of political conflicts.
