Abstract: Purpose: To compare the efficacy and safety of combination of Tamsulosin and Solifenacin with Tamsulosin alone in improving the lower urinary tract symptoms of patients with indwelling double-J ureteral stents (DJS). Materials and Methods: A total of 70 patients with DJS were randomly divided into 2 groups. In group I (𝑛 = 35), all patients received combination of both tamsulosin 0.4 mg and solifenacin 10 mg daily and in group II (𝑛 = 35) all patients received tamsulosin 0.4 mg daily. All patients completed the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), quality of life component of the IPSS (IPSS/Qol) and Visual Analogue Pain Scale (VAPS) questionnaire, before insertion, at 3rd day of stenting and at 2 weeks after stenting. Urine for Routine and microscopic examination and culture and sensitivity were sent on 3rd postoperative day or before the discharge of patient and sexual discomfort was assessed after 2 weeks of stent insertion...............
