Abstract: Introduction : Certain complementary examinations are essential to make the diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as well as to establish an initial mapping that seems to be a crucial element in the therapeutic choice. However, the systematic search for lesions in the upper digestive tract is still controversial. The aim of this work is to study the contribution EGD in IBD. Abstract: Background. Optimal management of surgical wounds is an important part of post-operative recovery and health care professionals should monitor the process of acute wound healing, prevent wound complications and treat appropriately if complications arise. Abstract: Malignant melanoma of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is a rare tumor encountered by ENT surgeons. This is case of 50 yrs old female with complaint of recurrent episodes of nasal bleed with nasal obstruction. The patient's history revealed recurrent episodes of nasal bleeding for past 4 months. She also complained of progressively increasing nasal obstruction from left nose for 3 months. Nasal endoscopy was done which revealed a smooth pinkish mass in the left nasal cavity, filling the whole middle meatus, and extending till, just anterior to the choana. The nasal endoscopy on the right side was normal. The histopathological examination gave a conclusive diagnosis of Malignant Melanoma. CT scan of PNS confirmed the finding of a localized mass in left nasal cavity. Surgical excision was done and patient was referred to higher center for radiotherapy..

Abstract: Background: Waiting time in Nigerian public hospitals is excruciatingly long with negative impact on quality of care, client satisfaction and utilization of health care services. These factors have significant negative consequences on the health indices of the population. Waiting time is amenable to easy objective and subjective assessment and intervention and hence studies are required to provide evidence for quality improvement. Abstract: Introduction: SARS-COV was declared pandemic in the month of march 2020.Uttarakhand reported its first case on 15th march 2020. This study is a retrospective descriptive analysis of the changing demographic, clinical and case fatality rate of the disease. Material and methods: The study is on the data of the admitted patients in dedicated covid center, a tertiary level facility from March 2020- February 2021. Data was analyzed in terms of outcome of the admitted patients, the change in the proportions of asymptomatic, mild, moderate and severe cases and the change in the age of the admitted patients with progression of disease over the stipulated time frame. Abstract: Introduction: To assess the clinical profile of Lens Induced Glaucoma (LIG) in Palakkad District of Kerala and final visual outcome of such patients was compared with preoperative rise of intraocular pressure (IOP) and their duration of presentation.
