Title | : | Linear and Quadratic Simultaneous Demand Rate Model with Production Exponentially Increasing and Inflation |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Vijay Singh Rajput || Yogesh Kumar || Amit Kumar vats || Ranjeet Kaur |
Abstract: In existing literature the inventory models are developed under supply chain model of a volume agile manufacturing process for the deteriorating items. In this study, a model for the producer by assuming production to be stock dependent and exponentially increasing and demand rate to be linear and quadratic simultaneously with constant deterioration rate and holding cost is developed. Shortages are not allowed. This whole study is studied in the inflationary environment. The mathematical expression for the total cost is derived and it is minimized. A numerical example has been illustrated using MATLAB to describe the model.

Authors | : | Ajay J. Patel || Dr.M.B.Prajapati || Dr.P.H.Bhathawala |
Abstract: Swine flu (H1N1) is prevalence due to increased infection rate around the world, as specially in India. A large number of humans die or have serious effects on the different states of India. In this paper we present an initial model with disease in different size population for the evolution of the infected people with Swine flu (H1N1).We explore the dynamics of the Swine flu disease at the population level using an epidemiological model. Data of Statistic are used to estimate some of the parameters of the model and we will see spread of the disease in different scenarios.

Title | : | Studies on Survival Analysis using Frailty Models under Bayesian Mechanism and its Further Scope |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Jiten Hazarika || Kuki Kalpita Mahanta |
Abstract: In this paper, an attempt has been made to discuss frailty models and their further developments under the Bayesian approach. The modeling of baseline hazard function with parametric and semiparametric approach, distribution of frailty variable along with derivation of posterior distribution with the help of the data likelihood and the prior distribution of the parameters of the frailty distribution with examples are also discussed here. Based on this review work it is observed that the Bayesian analysis of frailty models in survival analysis attains vast attention by the researchers..............

Title | : | On Consistency and Limitation of Independent t-test Kolmogorov Smirnov Test and Mann Whitney U test |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Usman, M. |
Abstract: It is worth repeating that if data are approximately normally distributed then parametric tests (as in the modules on hypothesis testing) are more appropriate. However, there are situations in which assumptions for a parametric test are violated and a nonparametric test is more appropriate. This study was aimed to investigates the strength and Limitation of independent t-test, Mann Whitney U test and Kolmogorov Smirnov test procedures on independent samples from unrelated population, under situations where the basic assumptions of parametric are not met for different sample size.........

Title | : | Minimum Spanning Tree of City to City Road Network in Nigeria |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Effanga, E.O. || Edeke, Uwe. E. |
Abstract: This paper deals with the construction of minimum spanning tree of city – to – city network in Nigeria. Nodes in our network are the 36 state capitals in Nigeria and the FCT, and the arcs are the proposed major roads that link the state capitals. The distances between states are computed using the Lad/Long converter software which makes use of the latitude and longitude of each state capital. We employed Prim's algorithm to determine the minimum spanning tree with Yenagoa as the starting point. The result gives a total distance of 5, 128.5 km.

Title | : | A Physical Interpretation of Riesz Potential |
Country | : | Turkey |
Authors | : | Esin İnan Eskitaşçioğlu || Mehmet Açil |
Abstract: In this paper we add a physical meaning to the Riesz potential by using Newtonian force fields due to a body and velocity fields of any fluid. To do this, we firstly give some properties of Newtonian force fields and correspondingly Newtonian potentials. Then, we introduce the Riesz potentials which is arised from fractional order a / 2 Poisson differential equations like Newton potentials and by using these notions we give a physical interpretation of Riesz potential. Finally, we cite the flow velocity of a fluid and add a physical meaning to Riesz potential by using velocity potential of a fluid that is irrotational in some simply connected region in the same way

Abstract: In many applications of Risk Management nature, Credit Migration Matrices or Transitional matrices are the main Cardinal inputs and the accuracy of their estimation is very critical. Three approaches namely Cohort, time homogeneous, non homogeneous are explored in this paper and the differences resulting statistically highlighted. Using techniques of bootstraps, a testing procedure is developed for assessing statistically the migration matrices differences. We find that using the Frequentist (Cohort) approach can yield huge discrepancies than the two duration methods namely Homogeneous and Non-Homogeneous duration methods...............

Title | : | 2-Dimensional Deformation of an Irregular Orthotropic Elastic Medium |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dinesh Kumar Madan || Aanchal Gaba |
Abstract: In the present paper the closed form analytical expressions for the displacement and stresses at any point of an infinite irregular orthotropic elastic medium as a result of normal line-load have been obtained by using eigen-value approach. The irregularity of rectangular and parabolic shape has been considered. To examine the effect of different type of irregularities the variation of displacement and stresses with horizontal distance have been shown graphically by taking different sizes of irregularities. Also to study the effect of irregularities present in the medium the comparison between the displacement due to with and without irregularities have been made. Contour maps showing the displacement field for each type of irregularities are presented.

Abstract: This paper considered statistical calibration models. It focused on Eiesinhart s calibration model for two tests X & Y where X is an exact but expensive and slow test and Y is less expensive but quick and cheap test. The objective was to investigate through a simulation experiment the effect of the degree of linear dependency between X & Y as well as sample size on confidence interval estimation of the forecasted value of X .It is shown that changes on these factors have no significant effect on the degree of confidence Keywords: Absolute calibration, comparative calibration, Jaundice, Inverse Predictions, Linear model, classical estimator

Authors | : | Asma Ali Mohammedkhair || Ahamed Mohamed Abdalla Hamdi || Mohammedelameen Eissa Qurashi |
Abstract: This paper hosts a comparison between logistic regression model and calibration linear model . Both models were applied on random sample of 120 people , 100 are infected with blood cancer and 20 are fit . And we have 3 independent variables , age , pcv , mch . When applying both models we discovered that the values of standard errors in calibration regression model are less than the value of standard errors in logistic regression model , meaning that calibration regression method was better . Some other results were reached , like when applying logistic all variables mentioned above have significant influence on cancer infection , we also found that pcv variable is the most influential in cancer infection , followed by the rest age and msh
