Abstract: The utilization of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers (CFRP) has exhibited promising results in enhancing the shear capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) beams. The effectiveness of CFRP is contingent upon its bonding properties with the concrete substrate. The Embedded Through-Section (ETS) technique is distinct from the Externally Bonded (EB) and Near Surface Mounted (NSM) techniques, as the latter two employ CFRP sheets or plates that are attached to the concrete cover of RC beams.
