Abstract: Background: Mental health concerns intersect with the human growth and development, with their onset mostly during adolescence (Babatunde et al., 2021). Numerous biopsychosocial factors including genetic predisposition, stress, poverty, and armed conflict increase the vulnerability to poor mental health. Relapse in mentally ill patients varies across studies with a prevalence ranging between 52% and 92% in schizophrenia, 65% and 73% in patients with mood disorders, and 50% and 90% in substance abusers (Agenagnew and kassaw, 2020).
