Abstract: Problems of swallowing and provides a quicker onset of action overcomes by fast dissolving tablets constitute an innovative excipients. The bioavailability of some drugs may be increased due to absorption of drugs in oral cavity. Fast dissolving tablets of Furosemide, prepared by sublimation method using camphor as subliming agent and croscarmellose sodium, sodium starch glycolate and cross povidone as a super disintegrates by direct compression method. FTIR Spectroscopy was carried out to determine the suitability of superdisintegrates with the drug. The prepared fast dissolving tablets of Furosemide, were evaluated for post compression parameters. Optimum formulation of Croscarmellose sodium S3 showed disintegration time of 9 seconds and 97.07% of drug release..
