Abstract: The major focus of this work is to study the effect of cationization on the exhaustion of pH indicator dyes on the textile substrate. As pH paper is of cellulose content with dyes incorporated into it, the idea behind the work is to dye wood pulp cellulose after the process of cationization with pH sensitive halochromic dyes. To enhance the adsorption property of the cellulose substrate, the source is pretreated with a cationic agent 3-chloro-2 hydroxy Propyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (CHPTAC). Abstract: Background: Contamination of radiological substances in environment is one of the most important factors and harmful for living beings if the activity is high enough with long half-life.'Gamma Spectrometry Setup' is comparatively better for detection and analysis of gamma radiations in any type of specimens. Initiating the data acquisition setup, it's essential to calibrate the entire setup for accuracy measurement. Materials and Methods:The main purpose of the research work is to characterize the data acquisition setup using137Cs and 60Co point sources. 137Cs emits γ-rays of 661.66 keV and 60Coemits two different γ-rays; 1173.2 KeV & 1332.5 KeV. Setup standardization is an essential part of any research works. Results: The HPGe detector used with the setup is also good enough for γ-energy detection. Detector efficiency calibration is another major task needed for activity calculation, using gamma energy lines detected in a sample detector efficiency can be calculated......

Abstract: This research carried out the design, construction and performance analysis of locally made portable wind turbine for domestic applications. Today, world is immensely seeking clean, renewable and cost effective energy to reduce greenhouse gases, which problem is becoming a global issue. Constructing a small wind turbine provides useful quantity of environmental friendly energy, to supply houses and workshops, without ejection of carbon-monoxide into the atmosphere. The conversion of kinetic energy in form of mechanical energy is transformed to generate electrical energy by vertical axis wind turbine, derived from 12 Volts car alternator. The car alternator used differs from a DC motor in that it contains no permanent magnet, instead there are two concentric wound coils of wire within the alternator. A stator coil, which does not rotate and a rotor coils were attached to the alternator's shaft for movement. Electromagnetic field is created whenever current flows through the field coil, the resultant magnetic field sweeps clockwise through the coil of wire and electricity is generated in the stator coil.

Abstract: This paper investigates the structural stability, electronic, and optical properties of MoS2 in hexagonal and trigonal phases using the first-principles method, the results show that the two-phase bulk MoS2is stable. The material has a bandgap of 1.37eV and 1.52eV in hexagonal and trigonal phases which are in agreement with the available literature and also indicated that both phases of the materials are semiconductors. The work shows the materials have a potential for use in optoelectronic applications due to their significant response to incident radiation.
