Abstract: Geological faults are essential requirements in geothermal system. Lineament is an important feature in showing subsurface structures as faults. In recent years automatic lineament extraction has gained huge popularity as it circumvents issues such as errors and time constraints that associated with manual extraction procedure. This study aims to identify subsurface lineaments automatically from gravity data. Gravity data from Olkaria geothermal field was measured, corrected and a Bouguer anomaly obtained. Polynomial regression and Quadratic Square trend surface analysis techniques were used to filter the data into regional and residual anomalies. Subsurface lineaments....

Abstract: The thin-bed reservoir units of the Eastern Folded Belt are medium to fine-grained and well sorted, with frequent alteration of sand shale with the prevalence of parallel bedded sandstone. The samples collected from the field are studied in the laboratory to characterize the reservoirs more precisely. The overall workflow of laboratory analysis has been categorized into three sorts. In the petrographic section, the thin section of the samples is studied to determine their textural properties thoroughly. The porosity and permeability have been determined by analysing textural characteristics and diagenetic changes. This microscopic section evaluates the effects of diagenetic processes.....

Abstract: Résumé Cette recherche est fondée sur la connaissance de la structure continentale de la province de Sankuru, au centre de la République Démocratique du Congo, en se basant sur l'analyse et l'interprétation de données magnétiques issues de la campagne magnétique de levé aéroporté mené dans la Cuvette centrale en 1987 par le CGG (Comité national belge de Géodésie et de Géophysique) pour le compte du Ministère des hydrocarbures du gouvernement congolais. Les logiciels Geosoft.Oasis.8.4 et Surfer 23, nous permettent d'élaborer la carte de l'anomalie du champ magnétique de la province.....

Abstract: A suite of geophysical logs comprising of gamma ray (GR), resistivity (LLD), neutron (NPHI) and density (RHOB) logs from two wells within X-field in the Niger Delta, were used to delineate hydrocarbon bearing reservoirs, identify the reservoir fluid types, and evaluate the major petrophysical parameters of the different reservoirs. dataset: A) representing fluid geochemical data from Indian hot springs. The analysis used the joint probability
distribution of two random variables: individual observational samples (rows) and fluid geochemical variables
