Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Visalam || Archana P Kumar || Abirami Om Prakash || Padmavathi.R |
ABSTRACT: E-learning is a method of acquiring knowledge using electronic media which is gaining popularity among students. This requires access to computers and considerable knowledge on information technology. The current study aims to assess the computer literacy and attitude towards E-learning among first year undergraduate medical students.

Title | : | Optical and Dielectric Properties of Mn2+ & Co2+:B2O3-ZnO-MgO Glasses |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | M. Venkateswarlu || B.H. Rudramadevi || S.Buddhudu |
ABSTRACT: A transparent base glass in the chemical composition B2O3-ZnO-MgO (BZM) has successfully been prepared and a couple of transition metal (Mn2+ & Co2+) ions doped into this glass matrix have also been done for their further analysis. Optical absorption, photoluminescence (excitation & emission) spectra, dielectric (ε' and tan δ) and ac conductivity measurements have been undertaken for Mn2+ & Co2+ : B2O3-ZnO-MgO. The visible absorption spectrum of Mn2+: BZM glass has shown a broad absorption band at 456 nm (6A1g(S) → 4T1g (G)), whereas three bands at 526 nm (4T1g (F) → 2T1g (H)), at 584 nm (4A2 (4F) → 4T1 (4P)) and at 1429 nm (4A2 (4F) → 4T1 (4F)) are observed from Co2+: BZM optical glass. The nature of local symmetry and structural information of the neighboring atoms of dopant ions (Mn2+ & Co2+) in the host matrix have been understood by evaluating the crystal field strength (Dq) and Racah (B &C) parameters.

Title | : | Assessment the intrarenal focal lesions using bone tracer 99mTC-MDP compared with renal cortical imaging agent 99mTC-DMSA |
Country | : | Egypt |
Authors | : | Magda S. Hanafy || Maged Abdelgalil Hamed || Heba M. Elshafai |
ABSTRACT: Static renal scintigraphy with Tc-99m dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) is considered a reference method for assessment the intrarenal focal lesions. The aim of this study was to evaluate Tc-99m methylene diphosphate (MDP) static scintigraphy for the same purpose. 23 patients (6 males, 17 females) with range age of 16y -75y (mean 45.6y ± 17.4y), submitted to both methods ( by using both tracers 99mTC-DMSA and 99mTC-MDP ) from May 2014 to june 2015 for detecting intrarenal focal lesions. 99mTC-DMSA images were compared with images by bone seeking radiopharmaceutical 99mTC-MDP.

Title | : | Solar Energy Collection Using an Absorber with a Thermal Compensator |
Country | : | Kenya |
Authors | : | Muhia N || Kinyua R || Kamau J. N |
ABSTRACT: A fairly steady power output solar-thermal energy collector to produce steam has been fabricated and tested. The basis of this study was the fact that most solar collectors do not give steady energy output due to fluctuations in solar intensity. A Parabolic Dish Solar Collector (PDSC) was constructed and an absorber was positioned at the focus. Water was made to flow through a narrow pipe in and out of the absorber so as to absorb heat energy. The absorber had a temporary thermal storage component consisting of a Phase Change material (PCM) which would gain latent heat of fusion at the melting temperature and then release the same quantity of heat during solidification.

Title | : | Some Results on Multiplicity Correlations in Catastrophic Destruction of12C-AgBr Collisions at 4.5 AGeV |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Praveen Prakash Shukla || H. Khushnood || M. Saleem Khan |
ABSTRACT: An attempt has been made to investigate some interesting features of 12C-AgBr collisions at 4.5 AGeV. It is found that probability of catastrophic destruction of heavy emulsion nuclei increases with the increasing mass of nuclei andthe angular distribution of charged shower particles depends on the mass of projectile. Furthermore several multiplicity correlations have also been investigated. Key words: Catastrophic destruction, angular distribution,charged shower particles,multiplicity distribution, multiplicity correlations.

Title | : | The Initial Determining of Hydrocarbon Areas by World Magnetic Model WMM at Al Zubair City, South Iraq |
Country | : | Iraq |
Authors | : | Ahmed J. Al-Naji || Nibras F. Ali |
ABSTRACT: The area of this study is one of the important places in Iraq, which contains many important oil fields. In this work numerical simulation of the Earth magnetic field in theAl-Zubair city- Iraq have been developed using WMM15 model. This region located at south of Iraq (lat. 30º29`N 30º 25`N), (lon. 47º 34`E
47º 36`E).The components of the geomagnetic field(total intensity(F),the east component(Y),down component(Z), horizontal intensity (H),north component (X),declination (D) and inclination (I) were found by using(WMM 15) software. Contour mapping of the above seven components were drawn by using surfer 11softawr,magnetic anomaly was found in the area confined betweenlongitudes (47.605°-- 47.612°) and latitudes (30.445° -- 30.45°), and especially in the contour lines of (F,Y,Z,D,I).

Title | : | Synthesis, Characterization and Optical properties of PANI/ PVA Blends. |
Country | : | Egypt |
Authors | : | A. F.Mansour || A.Elfalaky || F. Abdel Maged |
ABSTRACT: Polyaniline was synthesized by the chemical oxidative polymerization of aniline. Poly aniline (PANI) blended with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) which prepared by solution cast method using N-Methyl Pyrolidone (NMP).The polyaniline powder was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In this paper we study the optical properties of PANI/PVA blends. Include optical transmission, optical constant, dielectric constant, optical conductivity, and band gaps. This study shows that the absorption increases and transmission decreases as PANI concentration increases in the blend. The extinction coefficient, refractive index, real and imaginary parts and average refractive index values were found to increase with increasing PANI concentration Keywords: PANI, PVA, Blend, XRD, SEM and Optical Properties

Title | : | Microstrip Patch Antenna as Dual Bowtie Shaped forX-Band Applications |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Adham Rabeea Azeez || Marwa Maki Hamed |
ABSTRACT: This paper presents a novel compact likea dual bowtie microstrip patch antenna of 82×45×1.6 mm³for X-band applications. This antenna is simulated and analyzed using HFSS based Finite Element Method (FEM). . Microstrip feed line location is optimized to get minimum return loss. Antenna characteristics are simulated using a Finite Element Method (FEM) based High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). Antenna performance in term of return loss, radiation pattern and gain are analyzed. It is found that the antenna is resonant at 10 GHzwith a return loss of -24 dB and a stable radiation patterns. This antenna predict for successful radar and satellite communication.
