Abstract: The paper strives to analyze the management practices to realize the necessity of management development for women entrepreneurs in SME sector. This study shows the necessity of management development for enhancing competitive efficiency and effectiveness of women entrepreneurs in the SME sector of the developing economy of Bangladesh. Integrated Management Process, Risk Management and Credit Control, Productivity Management, Quality Management, Sales Management, Human Resource Management, Business Process Improvement, Health and Safety Measures and Social Responsibility are considered as the parameters to comprehend practice pattern of management development tools. Qualitative discussion along with quantitative analysis detects the necessity as well as the significance of management development for women entrepreneurs in the SME sector in Bangladesh.
