Abstract: Introduction: Tuberculosis treatment can cause immuno-allergic reactions (RIA) which are unpredictable, sudden and pose a problem in diagnosis and management. The objective of our study is to describe the epidemiological, clinical and evolutionary profile of RIA. Methods: Our work is a retrospective and analytical study, concerning the management of patients hospitalized for immuno-allergic reactions to antibacillaries, over a period of 5 years. Results: A total of 2,402 tuberculosis patients, of which 6.15% presented immuno-allergic reactions (150 patients); The immunoallergic manifestations noted are hepatic (48%), cutaneous (44.8%), fever (12.5%), haematological manifestations (3.9%), dyspnea with wheezing (1.5%) ), two cases of DRESS syndrome, one case of purpura, and one case of conjunctivitis.........

Abstract:Background: . comparison of 2 chlorprocaine and bupivacaine in below umbilical surgery, in relation to onset of sensory and motor block, duration of sensory and motor block, time of unassisted ambulation, time of voiding
Materials and Methods: : A total of 60 patients of either sex undergoing below umbilical day care surgery was randomly divided into two groups 30 patients in each. Group CP received 40 mg of 1% 2 chlorprocaine intrathecally. Group B received 7.5 mg of .5% bupivacaine intrathecally. Onset and regression of sensory and motor block observed, time of ambulation, time of voiding, post op analgesia ( VAS Score), vitals was assessed at different time intervals.
Results: : We observed significant difference of onset of sensory block in group CP was 2.5 ± 0.73 min and in group B was 3.33 ± 0.84 min. Onset of motor block was 4.00 ± 0.74 min in group CP and 4.90 ± 0.99 min in group B. Time to achieve maximum sensory block level was significantly......

Abstract: Background: Pleomorphic adenoma is by far the most common salivary gland tumor and also most common benign tumor in parotid gland. Of those arising in the parotid gland 80% are located in the superficial lobe in the tail of the gland. They present as slow growing painless tumors. Superficial parotidectomy is the preferred surgical modality of choice in these cases amongst the options available. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the facial nerve dysfunction and other post-operative complications after superficial parotidectomy and to identify the associated risk factors. Materials and Methods: Prospective and descriptive clinical study based on 65 patients over a period of 2 years undergoing superficial parotidectomy was done. Assessment of facial nerve function was done using House- Brackmann scale and intra and post-operative complications were recorded at 1 week , 1,3 6 and 12 months. A descriptive , inferential and....

Abstract: Aim: To evaluate the microleakage of class V cavities extended below cementoenamel junction (CEJ) restored with open and closed sandwich techniques using resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) as a liner by dye penetration method. Materials and Methods: Class V cavities were prepared 1mm below CEJ on both the buccal and lingual surfaces of 20 freshly extracted sound human molars, which were randomized into two groups. In group I (n=20), the open sandwich technique, RMGIC liner was applied on the axial wall and cavity floor extending to the cavosurface margin. In group II (n=20), the closed sandwich technique, RMGIC liner was applied only on the axial wall without extending to the.....

Abstract: Syncope is a transient loss of consciousness and postural tone secondary to inadequate cerebral perfusion that spontaneously resolves without medical intervention . Laughter-induced syncope is rare and likely goes unrecognized by many health care providers. It is thought to be another form of valsalva induced syncope. The laughter-induced syncope is an actual medical term, and it is also known as the "Seinfeld syncope" because one reported case occurred when an unfortunate patient died while watching a particularly funny episode of the popular TV show Seinfeld. Laughter-induced or gelastic (derived from the Greek word for laughter, 'gelos') syncope is extremely rare. It is a sub-type of the situational syncopes hypothesized to be the result of a neurally mediated reflex triggered by increased intrathoracic pressure.

Abstract: It is not uncommon to encounter various deviations from the routine anatomyduring endodontic management of various teeth and mandibular molars stands out in this aspect presenting a range of variations such as additional canals, roots and challenging curvatures. Three clinical reports of mandibular molars are presented in which three canals in the mesial rootswere treated endodontically. The third canal in the mandibular molars are often difficult to identify and most of the time left untreated and might serve as a reason for treatment failure.

Abstract: Introduction: Enteric (Typhoid) fever is considered to be a major public health problem in many developing countries of the world and it has also been gradually testified from the developed countries. It is mainly caused by a bacterium called Salmonella entericaserovarTyphi which is related to the bacteria that cause salmonella food poisoning. It is clinically demonstrated by a tenacious fever, headache, constipation, extreme fatigue, joint pain, splenomegaly, inflammation of the intestine with the formation of intestinal ulcers, a characteristic rose-spot eruption on the abdomen. Almost 80% of cases and death occur in Asia. Aim of the study:To assess the haematological factors of Enteric fever in children of Bangladesh.Material & Methods: This was an observational study which......

Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study was comparethe marginal adaptation of lithium disilicate and zirconia restorations before and after cementation under the effect of different resin cement. Materials and methods: Eighty intact human maxillary premolars were selected for this study, prepared using computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing technique. Teeth were divided into two main groups according to the restorative materials used (n=40). Group restored withmonolithicLithium disilicateandthe other restored with Zirconia. Each main group was subdivided into two subgroups according to type of resin cements; one type ofself-adhesive resin cement and one type of adhesive resin cement(n=20). Beforecementation, vertical marginal discrepancies (μm) were measured at the margin of each crown at (mid-buccal, mid-palatal, mid-mesial and mid-distal)......

Abstract: Annotation The article analyzes the results of reconstructive valves operations and CABG with MAZE performed in the Regional Center for Cardiac Surgery in Odesa over the past 6 years in patients with chronic, paroxysmal and persistent forms of AF. The expediency of complementing open heart surgery (CABG, reconstructive valve surgery) with MAZE surgery was shown to all patients with paroxysmal, persistent and chronic forms of AF. The effectiveness of the appointment of antiarrhythmic and anticoagulant therapy in these groups of patients was evaluated..

Abstract: Contact dermatitis, also called contact eczema is a red, itchy rash caused by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it. The rash isn't contagious or life-threatening, but it can be very uncomfortable. An estimated 15–20% of the general population suffers from contact allergy. "Contact dermatitis can lead to significant sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating at work or in school, inability to work, significant itching and, at times, pain. Work place exposure, age, sex, use of consumer products and genetic predispositions were identified as the most important risk factor. In India more than 10 million cases per year. Contact dermatitis is an irritant reaction that causes a painful or itchy skin rash.........
