ABSTRACT: Background: Analgesia, one of the components of triad of anaesthesia, has now extended to relief of postoperative pain, chronic pain and cancer pain. The spinal cord has taken the center stage in analgesia practice and Spinal anaesthesia is the commonly used technique for lower limb surgeries as it is easy to administer, economical and causes less hemodynamic variation than general anaesthesia. Hence different additives can be used to increase the duration of postoperative analgesia. ABSTRACT: Understanding food security in Indonesia still requires a unified perspective. This is important to do because it will affect the parameters and indicators of program achievement which are targets in implementing accelerated food security at the community level. One of the studies conducted in Bali showed that participation in the food security program received a very high response, namely from 35 respondents, 75% of respondents stated that the program was very important for the sustainability of food supply. Of all the respondents who gave positive responses, it was influenced by age, family size and ownership of cultivated land. From this research, it is also proven that with the influence of family size and land ownership size on food security, for the achievement of a food security program, the actual benchmark or indicator of achievement is family food security. This is very relevant to the concept of food security which is understood by the public, namely that with strong family food security, broader food security will be easier to achieve.

ABSTRACT: Flood hazard mapping is essential for flood mitigation and management. Bangladesh is located in the South Asian subcontinent and is prone to flooding. Being a flat country, Bangladesh has regularly faced devastating floods in 1974, 1984, 1987, 1988, 1998, 2000, 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2016. Almost every year, extreme floods produced by the Jamuna River displace thousands of people, as well as huge agricultural and poultry losses. In this research, a 1D-2D coupled hydrodynamic model for the Jamuna River to identify low-lying flood-prone regions. The hydrodynamic model was calibrated and verified in 2004 and 2012 respectively, using water level data. Nearly forty.....

ABSTRACT: The study was carried out to access the production system and morphometric traits of goats and to understand the phenotypic association among morphometric traits in goat of Nuwakot district during April to July 2023. A total of 20 households were surveyed among them 11 from Panchakanya and 9 from Shivapuri municipality by random sampling by using structured questionnaire. Body measurements were collected from 104 goats with the help of developed format. Collected data were entered and coded in excel and analyzed using mixed model least square and maximum likelihood computer program developed by Harvey(1990). ABSTRACT: The objective of this research is to calculate the design parameters of the separating organ of a green pigeon peeling sheller for the production of canned peas. A software and data on the physical-mechanical properties of the pods and grains of green pigeon pea were used for the calculation. As a result, it was obtained that the separator rollers with a diameter of 40 mm will have 2.26 mm of play between them, with an angular speed of the drive roller of 2.01 rad/s and thus achieve a total flow of 14.54 sheaths/s for a productivity of 67.81 kg/h of processed green pigeon peas.

ABSTRACT: Thematic maps are used to graphically illustrate the distribution, density, and fluctuation of a certain phenomenon across a geographical region. They are a vital tool for analyzing spatial patterns and interactions between diverse aspects of the environment, with applications in a variety of domains such as geography, geology, ecology, environmental science, and urban planning, among others. In this article, we will look at several types of thematic maps, their characteristics, and uses, with an emphasis on drainage maps, slope maps, land use land cover maps, soil maps, and hydrological soil group maps. The hydrological soil group maps are especially important for water resource management, flood control, erosion control, detecting flood and erosion-prone locations, and evaluating the influence of land use changes on soil hydrology. As the demand for sustainable development and natural resource management develops, the usage of themed maps will become increasingly important in the future.

ABSTRACT: Avian influenza virus (AIV) represents a continuous major threat to all poultry sectors all over the world. Though routine and massive vaccination against different strains of influenza viruses however, sporadic and sudden epidemics in vaccinated and unvaccinated poultry flocks are still occurred. Continuous monitoring of used vaccines in field is necessary to ensure their efficacy against predominant influenza virus strains and updating vaccination protocols. In the present study, nine different batches of inactivated avian influenza vaccines were arbitrarily chosen throughout daily work at central laboratory for evaluation of veterinary biologics in 2023. ABSTRACT: A agricultura é uma das principais atividades econômicas do mundo, empregando cerca de 70% das pessoas que trabalham no ramo agroalimentar além de ocupar cerca de 30% das terras agricultáveis do planeta. ABSTRACT: Background: Siam Banjar orange cultivated in South Kalimantan holds significant potential to become a key fruit commodity in Indonesia. To enhance its productivity, various methods, including seedling growth manipulation through strangulation and the use of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) during the vegetative phase, can be employed.
