Abstract: Background: Critical care nurses work in a stressful environment which may lead to occupational burnout. Studies have shown that burnout can affect nurses' mental and physical health and care quality. Nursing burnout have been studied in several quantitative studies; however, few researchers have explored the nurses' perception in this regard. The present qualitative study aimed to explore critical care nurses' perceptions about the personal and organizational contributors and the available burnout preventing resources in MOH hospitals in Saudi Arabia.
