Abstract: The magnitude of parasitic infestation among children constitutes a major public health problem in many parts of the world. In India, 87.5% of the sludge samples were positive with ascaris, toxocara, trichuris and hook worm. The poor standard of living includes improper disposal of faecal and other wastes, overcrowding, unhygienic health practices and poor environmental sanitation. All these lead to various experiences such as malnutrition and worm infestation. The aim of this study was to describe the effectiveness of teaching programme on round worm infestation among middle school children.

Abstract: Background: Adolescent girls often lack knowledge regarding reproductive health including menstruation which can be due to socio-cultural barriers in which they grow up. The menstrual hygiene related practices of female in the adolescence period can have effect on their health. Issues associated with menstruation are never discussed openly and this burdens adolescent girls by keeping them ignorant of this biological function. Among the various sub groups of women, reproductive health of married adolescence and young women is of crucial and especially in a state like Andhra Pradesh.

Abstract: The formation and dissolution of marital relationships have important implications for individual wellbeing and for society. Stable partnerships are associated with higher incomes, improved health and happiness, and positive child outcomes. (1) The definition of marriage varies according to different cultures, but it is principally an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually intimate and sexual, are acknowledged. When defined broadly, marriage is considered a cultural universal. In many cultures, marriage is formalized via a wedding ceremony.
