The study showed that the percentage of anemia is different between the sexes, with 61% for men and 40% for women. The age group (16-20 years) was the most affected (53%), followed by (11-15) years (36%), (20+) years and more (10%). The study showed that there was a relationship between type and incidence rate (p value = 0.01). The study also showed a significant relationship between the genetic factor and the incidence rate (p value = 0.00).............

Abstract: Background: Radiation therapy is treatment with high-energy rays that destroy cancer cells. It is also affects healthy tissue in the area being treated. There are two main types of radiation therapy that can be used to treat breast cancer external beam radiation this type of radiation comes from a machine outside the body and internal radiation, for this treatment, a radioactive source is put inside the body for a short time. Normal tissues neighboring to the tumor are going to receive variable quantities of radiation, which may result in damaging of these tissues and consequently emergence of adverse effects. Objectives: To assess psychological health status before and after instructional intervention and information.............

Abstract: Cervical cancer occurs when abnormal cells on the cervix grow out of control. It is the fourth most frequent cancer in women. Early detection of the disease reduces treatment cost as well as morbidity even if mortality is unaffected. This can be achieved by cervical health awareness and adherence to screening practices. The study aimed to determine the awareness of cervical cancer screening among women attending the Gynecology and Maternal-Child Health Clinics. The study adopted a hospital based cross- sectional with83 clients aged 18 years and above between 24th of April to 2nd of June. The participants were interviewed using an interview schedule after obtaining informed consent. The interview schedule consisted of demographic variables, knowledge of cervical cancer disease, awareness............

Abstract: The incidence of sex selective abortions is the worst form of gender based discrimination against women. The causes for elimination of girl child indicate that the reasons are similar and different depending upon the geographical location in which female infanticide is practiced. An exorbitant dowry demand is one of the main reasons for female infanticide and foeticide. Some of the other reasons are the belief that it is only the son who can perform the last rites, lineage and inheritance runs through the male line, sons will look after parents in old age, men are bread winners etc. Strong male preference and consequent elimination of female has continued to increase rather than decline with the spread of education

Abstract: Saving lives could be a noble act and donating blood is one way to do it. People can save up to three lives by donating blood because a pint of blood actually can be separated into three components which are red blood cells, platelets and plasma. In order to increase blood supply and to maintain adequate stock of blood, voluntary and regular blood donors are needed to meet the increasing demand. The donation from young adults like university students is more preferable because they are a healthy group with a low risk of transmitting disease and more knowledgeable than the other groups. Considering the significance of university students in blood donation practice, the aim of the study was to assess university students' knowledge, attitude and practice on blood donation among nursing............

Abstract: Thirst in the perioperative period is capable of generating distress and temporary incapacity. Nurses are not prepared to deal with thirst during the perioperative period and often ignore thirst when patients ask for water. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of using ice cold normal saline with menthol versus routine care on thirst relief and oral condition among immediate postoperative patients undergoing abdominal surgery. The study was conducted in surgical wards, at one of the hospitals affiliated to Cairo University. A quasi-experimental design was utilized in the study. A convenient sample of 60 adult patients who undergone abdominal surgeries were recruited in the.............
