ABSTRACT: This study investigates the spatial distribution and heterogeneity of Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) and its influencing factors: burned area (BA), dust (DU), sea salt (SS), and black carbon (BC), across Nigeria from 2011 to 2019. The work analyzed seasonal patterns and the interactions between these variables using Geodetector model. Results show distinct seasonal variations in AOD and its contributors, with high dust concentrations in the north during the DJF season suggestive of the influence from the Harmattan winds originating from.....
