Abstract: Purpose: To investigate the influence of digital device use (computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones) on dry eye disease (DED) in a pediatric population.
Settings and Design: This was a cross‑sectional study. School children studying in grades 5–9 at two private schools.
Methods: In this study, 462 children underwent ocular examination including tear film breakup time (TBUT) and Schirmer’s test. Questionnaires were administered for collecting information on the type and duration of digital device usage separately for academic and leisure activities and the Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) score.
Results: The mean age......

Abstract: Adverse drug reaction can be predictable or unpredictable. The effectiveness of ATT such as Rifampicin , Isoniazid , Pyarazinamide , Ethambutol are complicated by the severity of adverse reaction. Lichenoid drug reaction incidence among patients taking first line Antitubercular drugs is roughly 10%1. Clinically these lesions resemble lichen planus with subtle differences.......

Abstract: Introduction
With the increasing rate of caesarean section worldwide, there is a concerning rise of second stage cesarean section. Interventions in the second stage in a fully dilated cervix and deeply impacted head poses quite a risk to both mother and fetus . The objective of the present study was to observe and analyse the various fetomaternal complications in subjects who underwent caesarean section in second stage.

Abstract: Introduction: Proximal gastric cancer, especially at the esophagogastric junction, presents a significant therapeutic challenge due to its high morbidity, mortality, and generally poor prognosis. This study aimed to assess the aetiological and pathological determinants of postoperative complications in proximal gastric cancer surgery. Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted at the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital Department of Surgical Oncology. Patient selection followed predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, leading to a study cohort of 50 eligible individuals. Data collection utilized a structured case record form, and the postoperative outcome was evaluated by examining complications and measuring hemoglobin and serum albumin levels........

Abstract: This study evaluated the adverse effects of drugs commonly used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis among patients in West Bengal, India. It focused on medications such as methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, leflunomide, and biologic agents, assessing their impact on patient health over a period of one year. The research findings highlighted that gastrointestinal disturbances, hepatotoxicity, and immunosuppressive-related infections were among the most frequently reported side effects......

Abstract: Adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells undergo multipotential differentiation to biotransform into variety of tissues such as adipocytes, smooth muscle cells, osteocytes, chondrocytes, glia, neurons, myeloid and erythroid hematopoietic cells for their wider dermatological use in treatment of autoimmune disease, wound healing and skin neoplasms. Clinical trials indicate their limited use due to several challenges and complications. A lot of skin tissue engineering issues on mechanisms, molecular pathways still need investigations to develop full-proof safe adipose cell derived skin......

Abstract: Gartner’s duct cyst is an unusual vaginal cyst that develops from the Gartner’s duct, the residual embryonic structure of the caudal end of the mesonephric duct in females. Often discovered incidentally during routine pelvic exams on the anterior or lateral vaginal wall, these cysts typically exhibit no symptoms. Although the occurrence of Gartner’s duct cysts during pregnancy or at birth is exceedingly rare and has been scarcely documented in the literature, we encountered a pregnant patient who was referred to our hospital due to a protruding vaginal mass causing obstruction in the birth canal. Diagnosis was established through typical clinical examination and radiological findings, and after draining the Gartner’s duct cyst, a normal vaginal delivery was successfully performed.....

Abstract: Background: Kennedy Class-IV edentulous patients require prosthetic rehabilitation that balances aesthetic satisfaction and functional efficiency. Acrylic partial dentures (APDs) have long been a standard treatment due to their affordability and structural stability, whereas flexible partial dentures (FPDs) have gained popularity due to their improved comfort and adaptability. However, comparative data on sore area formation and long-term aesthetic acceptance between these two materials remain limited. This study aims to evaluate aesthetic preference and mucosal.....

Abstract: The retention and stability of complete dentures are significantly influenced by the adaptation of the denture base to the supporting tissues of the edentulous ridge, particularly in the post-palatal seal area. This study explores the influence of palatal vault depths on denture base adaptation in the post-palatal seal region, comparing conventional processing techniques with those incorporating palatal anchoring. The retention of a complete denture is determined by the intimate fit between the denture base and the mucosal surface, with factors such as surface tension, adhesion.....

Abstract: Glucocorticoid therapies are extensively used in a wide range of medical conditions including respiratory, allergic, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Inappropriate use of therapeutic doses of glucocorticoids can lead to many adverse effects including hypothalamic pituitary axis suppression and Cushing's syndrome. Cushing's syndrome is a rare entity in children. Adrenal tumour is the common cause of this syndrome in young children, whereas, iatrogenic causes are more common among older children. In this report, we present a nine-year-old boy of exogenous Cushing syndrome due to prolonged use of oral prednisolone for JIA who also developed posterior subcapsular cataract.
