Abstract: YGR serves many functions such as, biodiversity, ecological, hydrological, education and research site and economic functions. The reserve hosted over 20,000 tourists from over 100 countries. This makes it the most popular tourist destination in Nigeria and, if properly managed, it could become a significant part in the development and promotion of tourism throughout the country. Despite all these, this reserve is currently under serious threats from a various series of negative activities. Underrating YGR non-market resources values in making decisions is adjudge to be a major negative factor of the reserve conservation and resources management. This study........
