Abstract : The orthogonal polynomial set’s properties and its use in the least square sense approximation of data or complex functions to a polynomial, are discussed. Performance of Chebyshev, Gram and Alfredo-Giuseppe (A-G) polynomials is examined with a simulated Planck profile with and without noise.
