Abstract: In recent times, there have been rapid changes in the Architectural design of multi-story buildings tending towards slenderer structures due purposely to space utilization. These changes are not without some inherent challenges on the serviceability requirements of these buildings; of major concern are deflection, oscillation, and excessive vibration developed by the action of wind on the structural members. This study carried out an evaluation of shear wall and frame network subjected to aerodynamic wind load on a 60m, 20 storeys regular building model for aerodynamic resistance of multi-story building with a view to having further improvement on the serviceability criteria............

Abstract: Computational fluid dynamic software ANSYS Fluent 15.0 is used to predict the physical parameters on the external surface of a vehicle. The simulation of the wind tunnel experiments using the above CFD package would be carried out. To study the aerodynamic influence of vehicle segments are considered as twobox form passenger car model (TOYOTA-Land Cruiser). As this model provided with the extremities in the design of vehicle category in summarizes these results in a broader sense to understand the aerodynamics of such profile. A wind tunnel experiments consists of physically testing the model in a simulated environment. It is a closed environment in which air is blown across the model at a constant velocity...............

Abstract: Research is going on for efficient design to reduce weight of load carrying platform or panel. Various types of designs are used for different applications. Our main aim is to design panel at which can carry load at min weight .By reducing weight we save material cost and also other cost. All steel sandwich panel can be effectively used for general purpose applications of load carrying platform. Various types of core (i.e. stiffener) is possible. In this paper we have used rectangular steel plate as core and top bottom facings are also steel plate. Here, we have designed and optimized sandwich panel having 1mtr x 1mtr size for 1MT (10KN) load. We have discussed about important parameters of optimization for such panel and effect of change of these parameters on equivalent stress, total deformation and weight............

Abstract: The objective of the present work is to optimize the process parameters in EDM by using Taguchi's design of experiments, which extensively been used. The process parameters chosen for the experiment are discharge current, open voltage, Toff, Ton and tool geometry. These parameters were selected because they can potentially affect Electrode wear ratio, material removal rate and tool wear rate in EDM operation and considered to be controllable factors. Since the EWR, MRR and TWR determine the economics of machining and rate of production, it is important to optimize the process parameters suitably to maximize the MRR and minimize the EWR.

Abstract: Cement is the binding agent in concrete and mortar and thus becomes an important construction material. Because of its important and varied use in the rapidly growing construction industry and also its consumption trends in the world makes the production of cement very high. Manufacturing of cement is an energy intensive process and releases approximately equal amount of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which affects the earth's ecosystem. More efforts are being undertaken to conserve energy by means of usage of industrial wastes or by-products, such as fly ash, silica fume, ground granulated blast furnace slag, rice husk ash, etc................

Abstract: The Blasius equation describing viscous flow over a flat plate has fascinated physicists, engineers, mathematicians and numerical analysts alike. This ODE is rich in physical, mathematical and numerical chal-lenges. Because of its application to fluid flow, physicists and engineers have a keen interest in solving the Blasius equation and the related, but more general, Falkner-Skan (F-S) equation. In the present paper, the Falkner-Skan (F-S) equation is solved using a new technique based on Taylor theory with shooting algorithm.............

Abstract: The construction industry is increasingly developing and growing rapidly with more advanced technologies. The world timber demand is increasing at a rapid rate but the timber supply is however depleting. It has been found through research that bamboo can suitably replace timber and other materials in constructions. This study was conducted to investigate the structural strength of bamboo connections involving only spliced joint and compared with control samples strength of bamboo which were not connected.............

Abstract: As a renewable, sustainable and alternative fuel for cooking stove instead of kerosene has been fueled to study its effects on stove performance by some modification done in stove the purpose of modification is to burn the maximum amount of fuel. But these studies have been rarely review to favour understanding and popularization for biofuel so far. From this report the effect of bio-fuel on stove efficiency, flame intensity, durability and the corresponding effect factors are surveyed in details. While for some "improved" stove fuel combinations, the increase in flame intensity is studied. Kerosene is most popular domestic fuel in rural areas of the country. Kerosene is meant to be used as cooking, lighting or heating fuel that is heavily subsidized so it can be purchase more easily by india's poor.............
