Abstract: Rinary Diversion is indicated primar- ily for the management of bladder carci- noma because radical cystectomy remains the mainstay of treatment for this type of cancer. In addition, urinary diversion may be needed in patients with congenital malformations, neuro- logical disorders, and severe inflammatory dis- ease of the bladder. After removal of the diseased bladder, a transposed segment of the gastrointes- tinal tract is used for diverting urine flow. De- veloping a substitute for the excised urinary bladder has challenged surgeons for more than a century. Rinary Diversion is indicated primar- ily for the management of bladder carci- noma because radical cystectomy remains the mainstay of treatment for this type of cancer...............
