Title | : | Rule Based Decision Making For Innovative Post Disaster shelters |
Country | : | Netherlands |
Authors | : | MahastiTafahomi |
Abstract: Representatives of the Boards of the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP), People In Aid and the Sphere Project [1] confirmed their continued commitment to improving quality and accountability within the humanitarian and development sectorsrecently. Recognition of the deep interest of joining forces and respective constituencies for developing joint standards however, did not lead to continuing the Joint Standards Initiative (JSI). The harmonization process of standards for post disaster aid and combining operational and organisational standards seems more difficult than originally assumed and might not be desirable............

Title | : | Research on the transient power quality disturbance detection based on HHT |
Country | : | China |
Authors | : | Yan Li-mei || Tang Qi-hao |
Abstract: Abstract:Real time detection of transient power quality disturbance signal is an effective way to analyze and eliminate the fault of power grid and improve power quality. The traditional time frequency analysis method has some limitations and large errors in the detection of transient power quality disturbances. In order to improve the accuracy of real-time detection and analysis of power system signal which is interfered by complex disturbance signal, the power quality multi-disturbance signal is detected by the Hilbert-Huang transform method. And the simulation results are verified by MATLAB, and the simulation results show that the method is effective and accurate.

Title | : | A Study On Warm Mix Asphalt Technology On Bituminous Mixesusing Rediset-Wmx |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | AmirhamzaM. Chariwala || Shivam S. Patel || Mursalin M. Shaikh || Sagar A. Tailor |
Abstract: All around the world efforts are made and being forward to protect the environment. At present the main emphasis is on reducing CO2 emissions in the view of reducing the greenhouse gases and effect. Nowadays the construction of roads can be done by using the hot mix asphalt (HMA) technique which consists of aggregates and bitumen mixed at the higher temperature approximately 150° to 170° C. The main concern with this HMA technology is, it requires great amount of energy for the production of bituminous mixes and also emits the massive amount of greenhouse gases in to the environment.Warm mix asphalt (WMA) is the recent technology and one of the solutions used to reduce the mixing temperature of bituminous concrete...........

Abstract: This study carried out the performance and optimization evaluation of single barrel cassava grating machine on selected fresh and stored cassava species. Three cassava species were sourced from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Nigeria, namely UMUCASS 36, UMUCASS 37, UMUCASS 38. This species were used at different levels of moisture content, 74.4%db and 61.4%db depicting the average moisture contents obtained for fresh and stored cassava, respectively. The experimental design employed was a two-level-two factor full factorial central composite response design, including 13 experimental runs each for dry and stored samples...........

Title | : | Evaluation of Angle of Excitation for Torsion by Using Irregularities in R.C.C Frame |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Danish Ali || Mangulkar Madhuri N |
Abstract: Torsional behaviors of asymmetric and irregular R.C.C structures are one of the most frequent sources of structural failure during strong ground motions. In this paper G+ 9 stories irregular shape building considered with mass, stiffness irregularity. For the evaluation of critical angle of seismic incidence for torsion by using dynamic analysis response spectrum method in STAAD PRO as per I.S 1893-2002. Set values from 0 to 90 degree with increment of 10 degree interval have been used for angle of excitation. Building column divided into three main categories including corner, side and middle column. The angle at which maximum torsional moment is obtain that is considered as a critical angle and results are compared in terms of axial force, bending moment and shear force for column.

Title | : | Effect of Electrode Coatings in Wire Electrical Discharge Machining of Inconel-718 |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | S.R.Dhale || M. L. Kulkarnir |
Abstract: Wire electro-discharge machining (WEDM) has developed as extensively recognized non-traditional machining process for difficult-to-cut materials. In this paper, the behavior of Inconel- 718, has been studied by varying electrode coating using WEDM, with respect to performance measures such as MRR and surface finish. All experiments were performed on Electronica Ultra cut wire EDM. The experiments were conducted by varying pulse on time, pulse off time, wire feed, wire tension, dielectric flush pressure. The experimental results confirm that, with coated wire, material removal rate and surface finish is better.

Abstract: When feasibility studies of energy projects made in general environmental and social factors that promote the project first analyzed, and if it is not rejected or another more attractive energy option is adopted,
then the project is ongoing and proceeds to the study technical and economic feasibility. In the case of wind
farms, technical feasibility related to the wind potential and its distribution over time and the number of
machines that will be used, while the economic viability is obtained by means of the energy produced and
different project costs and exploitation. This paper presents an algorithm that has been designed to determine the technical parameters of the project with which the greatest economic benefits of wind farms are obtained develops.........

Abstract: In order to be able to carry out early studies of viability, to analyze variants and to make tests of sensibility to the projects of wind farms, in this work has been developed a mathematical model for a quick, economic way and with enough precision, determine the cost that will have the park later when it is built. The method receives the name of parametric estimate of the cost. It consists on mathematics relationships between the variables or controllers (drivers) of the cost of projects. Although in the independent evaluations, the results might not be as exact as in the discrete methods,

Abstract: Multi-criteria decision making Analytical Network Process Approach (ANP) is used in selection of Rapid Prototyping technology for University/Institute for performing research work because buyer may has low degree of experience in decision making with respect to machines. A frame work is developed by considering qualitative and quantitative attributes in the selection of rapid prototyping machine. This paper represents the relationship among the qualitative and quantitative attributes. For validity of framework a Sensitivity analysis is also done to analyse the effect of weight age which may be varies according to expert experience

Abstract: Hydrological and water resource problems always pose a serious challenge to mankind from time immemorial. The ambiguity in data, its non-availability, error in measurement of data's, unconditional ground characteristics always has been a challenge to hydraulic engineers. The watershed characteristics and studies also pose the same problems. Conventional rain-fall measuring techniques, non-reliable gauge and discharge data, etc add to these problems. Over the development of remote sensing techniques, hydraulics engineers too started to use these techniques over water related problem............
