Abstract: Stroke is a common clinical problem that occurs without a warning and care of stroke patients have complex associated care needed which share the common goal of maximizing the patients and their dependence in self care for as long as possible and supporting overall coping. The greatest challenges for the patient and care givers occur after the patient has survived from the initial acute stroke period. The patient and family need to be included in all explanations of interventions and procedures, as well as to be provided with realistic appraisals of the patient's future status and deficits. Study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of self instrumental module on "care of stroke patient" among primary caregivers in Spandana Nursing Home and K.C. Abstract: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is common among elderly men and affects their quality of life. This study aims to describe the symptoms of BPH and its associated factors to determine their effects on quality of life (QoL) of elderly men. Four hundred twenty elderly living in two villages in Mansoura, Egypt were interviewed at their homes. Data collected included socio-demographics, clinical data, International Prostate Symptom Score (IPPS) and WHO Quality of life-brief (WHOQOL-BREF) scale. The median score of IPSS is 14 and 26.9% of elderly reported severe symptoms of BPH.......

Abstract: The study evaluates the knowledge of diabetes education programmes and support systems on Type 2 diabetes self-management among Black Africans in Liverpool. Self-management of diabetes takes into consideration the choices that people with diabetes must make on a daily basis. A total of thirty participants, 43.3% males and 56.7% females, with type 2 diabetes of age range between 40 – 79 years completed questionnaires combined with semi-structured interview (n=30). The duration of their diabetes was between 1-30 years. The study adopts non-probabilistic, snowball sampling approach as the primary and most effective strategy for choosing participants for data collection and employs descriptive and multiple Regression Statistical Analysis.........

Among the ten leading diseases for global disease burden include lower respiratory infections, diarrhoeal diseases, malaria, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and tuberculosis among others. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to assess the physical function among the adult patients with maintenance hemodialysis (MHD). A descriptive analytical design study for (100) male and female patients who have been attending hemodialysis centers was effectuated to achieve the objectives of the study. The period of the study was from 2nd of November, 2015 to 2nd of May, 2016). To meet the study objectives questionnaire was constructed, and then conducted in six hemodialysis units at Baghdad teaching hospitals. The questionnaire consisted of three parts.......
