Abstract: Physical restraints are commonly used in health care settings especially in intensive care units to reduce the risk of injury and maintain patients'safety. However, there is still great augment aboutitsbenefits andrisks and ethical concerns associated with its use in critical care settings. Therefore, this study aimedto evaluate the effect of clinical practice guidelines of physical restraint on nurse's practice, attitude and critically ill patient's safety at Intensive Care Unit in Tanta University hospital. To achieve this aim, a quasi-experimental research design (pre-posttest design)was utilized. A convenience sample of thirty critical care nurses was included, with one group before and after clinical practice guidelines.In...........

Abstract: Background: Colposcopy examination is one of the clinical gynecological procedure to examine, illuminate, magnified view of the cervix for evaluating cervical cytological abnormalities, vagina and vulva. It's widely used for early diagnosis of pre-invasive and invasive cervical cancer cells. Objectives: To assess the women's knowledge referred to colposcopic examination before and after applying an instructional program and to find out the relationship between socio-demographic, gynecologic and obstetric variables with their level of knowledge...........

Abstract: Accumulation of secretions in the endotracheal tube occurs in almost every patient in the Intensive Care Unit. Therefore, endotracheal suctioning is an essential component to maintain patent and clear airway for the intubated patient. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of shallow versus deep endotracheal tube suctioning on hemodynamic parameters in mechanically ventilated patients in Intensive Care Unit. This study was conducted in Anesthetic Intensive Care Unit at Tanta University Hospital. Aquasi-experimental research design was utilized. A convenience sample of sixty adults, mechanically ventilated patients fulfilling the inclusive criteria and were selected and divided into.........

Abstract: Background: Nursing care after thoracic surgery is very important to help preventing pulmonary complications. Intercostal tubes are usually used after cardio-thoracic surgery to drain air or blood from pleural and mediastinal spaces to maintain hemodynamic stability, and also to maintain cardio-respiratory function. Objectives: The aim of the study is determining the effect of implementing nursing guidelines on pain, hemodynamic state and pulmonary complications after thoracotomy............

Abstract: Knee fracture of the patella is a common injury among adults having higher prevalence among males population. The mechanism of injury either direct or indirect. The most common fracture pattern occurring is the transverse fracture followed by comminuted and vertical fractures. Treatment of patellar fractures depends on fracture type, integrity of extensor mechanism and size of fragment. Conservative management includes splinting and rest. Surgical techniques involve anterior tension band wiring and partial/total patellectomy. Physiotherapy management included early weight bearing followed by gradual mobilization and strengthening of extensor compartment of the knee joint. Fracture............
