Title | : | Development of a Solar Spectrum Monitor based on Diffraction Grating |
Country | : | India. |
Authors | : | NagendraNathMondal |
ABSTRACT: The sun is one of the second largest G2-type stars in the Milky Way of the universe. It is getting old, since its birth about 4.5 billion years ago. The origin of the solar spectrum and its constituent colors are the fusion reactions, thermal radiation and fundamental interactions of particles-antiparticles. Hydrogen is the main fuel of this fusion reaction from where the Earth has been receiving enormous energy continuously. As we are worried about the Global Warming, Earthquake, volcanic eruption, Tornado and other related issues of natural causalities those are directly influencedby the solar radiation and motion of the Earth. Hence my foremost interest is the monitoring of solar radiation spectrum that is a Global issue and the discovering of a special domain of research in this area of science. Development of a diffraction grating detector system and how it will be an excellent and inexpensive tool for studying the chromaticity of solar spectrum are reportedhere.

Title | : | Differential Operators Invariant under Lorentz Transformation |
Country | : | India. |
Authors | : | Krishna S. Amur || Christopher R |
ABSTRACT: Using differential forms, we obtain, in an entirely new way, expressions for differential operators: gradient, divergence and curl which are invariant under Lorentz transformation. The expression for curlF of a vector field F contains curlF as a term, where F is a spatial part of F and the other term in it is related to the direction of time. This is but natural in 4-dimensional space-time structure. We have not found such a simple form for the expression of curlF in the existing literature on Special Relativity. In addition we give expressions in spherical polar coordinates for the above mentioned differential operators. In this article we have used the standard Lorentz transformation in which the moving frame moves along one of the coordinate axes of the stationary frame..............

Title | : | Anomalous Hall effects and magneto-resistance in MnGeP2 thin films |
Country | : | USA |
Authors | : | Yunki Kim || J. B. Ketterson |
ABSTRACT: Field dependent magnetization experiments were performed for MnGeP2 thin films on GaAs(100) substrate with a ferromagnetic transition near 325 K, which showed coercive fields of 3900, 1400 and 160 Oe at 5, 255 and 300 K, respectively. The effective coercive fields by the Hall measurements were 4900, 4300, 3000, 300 Oe at 5, 105, 205, 305 K, respectively, in relatively good agreements with those measured by field dependent magnetization experiments. Magnetoresistance and Hall measurements have displayed hysteric behaviors with respect to the external field sweep, which implies that the conducting carriers can be spin polarized by the external magnetic field.

ABSTRACT: With the fast growing research and applications of graphene in photonics, understanding its properties and their correlation over broad spectral range is essential. The study presented herein is an analysis of optical conductivity and absorbance of chemical vapour deposition (CVD) single layer graphene (SLG). Optical transmittance measurements of the SLG module were performed over photon energy range from nearultraviolet (NUV, 300 nm) to near-infrared (NIR, 2500 nm) spectral regions. For photon wavelengths between 380 and 750 nm, graphene yielded an average transmittance of 97.6% with a maximum transparence peak of 98.3% at 710 nm wavelength. These results compares favorably with the reported theoretical T() of 97.7%. Arguably, the numerical value of optical conductivity.......

Title | : | The Relationship between Radon Concentrations in the Soil and Air of Houses in Alal Region, Jordan |
Country | : | Jordan |
Authors | : | Nabil. N. Al-Zubaidy || Abdallah Husain Almohammad |
ABSTRACT: In this research the author studied the relationship between radon concentrations in the soil and air of houses at every sector in the study area. Radon gas concentrations inside Alal houses, inside soil at a depth (50 cm) were measured. Also the author studied the risk of lung cancer due to radon gas in the study region (Alal region). The study started from 1 June 2015 to 1 September 2015. Study area was divided into four sectors (A East, A West, A North and A South). About 264 dosimeters containing highly pure CR-39 were distributed randomly among the houses of the different sectors. Two dosimeters were distributed in each house (first dosimeter in the first floor and the second dosimeter in the second floor). Also about 120 dosimeters were planted in the soil of Alal sectors at a depth 50 cm.......

Title | : | The effect of Microstructure in Exchange Decoupling of SmCo5/Co bi-layers at low temperatures |

Authors | : | Rukshan M. Thantirige || Nihar R. Pradhan || Mark T. Tuominen |
ABSTRACT: Here, we investigatedlow temperature magnetic properties of SmCo5/Co bilayer samples on MgO(100) and glass substrates. Samples were fabricated under identical conditions with a 60 nm Cr underlayer and magnetic properties were measured by a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer with the maximum applied field of 7 T. Analysis of each layer by an Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) reveals that MgO(100) results in small and uniform SmCo5grain formation in contrast to glass. X-ray......

ABSTRACT: Current solar power technology has little chance to compete with fossil fuels or large electric grids. Today's solar cells are simply not efficient enough and are currently too expensive for large-scale electricity generation. However, potential advances in nanotechnology may open the door to the production of cheaper and slightly more efficient solar cells. Specifically, the topics that will be discussed in this review article include nano structured inorganic materials for photovoltaic applications. Solar cells require having a large specific surface area so that sufficient dye molecules and quantum dots can be adsorbed onto the inorganic materials. These absorbed materials act as antennae for optical absorption.......

Title | : | Banerjee-Dzubur Dimensional Impairing Theorem: why we May Never Unify Gravity & Electromagnetism. |
Country | : | India. |
Authors | : | Tridib Banerjee |
ABSTRACT: For the past few decades, scientists are more desperate than ever to unify gravity and electromagnetism. It is the last missing piece in our picture of grand unification however, in this paper, I want to express my view about a mathematical possibility that why we may never be able to unify gravity and electromagnetism. As we will see, gravity and electromagnetism may actually be a same phenomenon, or rather, the consequence of a same phenomenon. They may unify, but in a higher dimension in which case, we may never be able to unify them while working in a 4 dimensional space time frame of reference.

Title | : | Self-Diffusion of Dust Grains in Strongly Coupled Dusty Plasma Using Molecular Dynamics Simulation |
Country | : | India. |
Authors | : | Mahmuda Begum || Nilakshi Das1 |
ABSTRACT:In this paper diffusion of dust particles in strongly coupled dusty plasma is investigated by using molecular dynamics simulations. Self-diffusion coefficients of complex plasmas are obtained for a wide range of plasma parameters using Green-Kubo expression which is based on integrated velocity autocorrelation function (VACF). It is assumed that dust particles interact with each other by Yukawa (i.e. screened Coulomb) potential. The study gives interesting results of dust particle diffusion in plasma

Title | : | Assessing of Climate Chang on Iraq using Meteonorm Weather Generator |
Country | : | Iraq. |
Authors | : | Iqbal H. Abd AlKareem |
ABSTRACT:Iraq is considered one of the most Middle East countries vulnerable to climate change, Iraq faces a unique set of environmental challenges. In recent years, changing weather patterns, increasing heat waves, frequent dust and sand storms are all evidence of climate change. This research aims on assessing climate change on Iraq. Future climate scenarios for three decades of 2020, 2050, and 21000 were generated from the global climatological database Meteonorm for scenarios B1, A1B, and A2. Anomalies of mean monthly air temperature by the end of these decades, relative to the mean temperatures for the period 2000-2009 were calculated and analyzed for three cities;..........
