Abstract: Breads are an important part of balanced diet. It is a good source of nutrients, such as macronutrients and micronutrients that are essential for human health. Breads are subjected to fungal attack causing their spoilage. In the present investigation ten filamentous fungi viz. Penicillium chrysogenum, Mucor sp. Rhizopus sp., Aspergillus sp. Fusarium sp., Alternaria sp., Phoma sp., Curvularia sp., Cladosporium sp., Eurotium sp., and one yeast Pitchia burtonii were isolated. These are involved in spoilage of bread due to improper handling and improper sanitation. Therefore its importance and commercial value is lost due to improper handling. Spoilage of these bakery products may constitute a health risk in food and may cause a mild to severe food illness. The percentage incidence of Mucor sp., Rhizopus sp., Curvularia sp., Aspergillus sp. Fusarium sp. and Penicillium chrysogenum was highest.

Abstract: Background: Lamiaceae or Labiatae family is one of the major important plant families of multiple usesin aromatic purposes, medicine and food. Oregano (Origanum) and thyme (Thymus) the scope of our study are belonging to familyLamiaceae. Butin spite of their importance, they are poorly identified on the basis of molecular levels three Thymus species (T. vulgaris, T. capitatus and T. decussatus)and two Origanum species (O. vulgareand O. syriacum L., subsp. sinaicum) were chosen for the preset study. Molecular identification and characterization studies based on DNA molecular marker (ITS region) are more precise, reliable and powerful tool to assess the phylogenetic relationships between studied plant species with 17 genera in Lamiaceae family. Materials and Methods:Specific one fragment ofPCR product about 710±15 bp from was produced using the universal primer (ITS1 and ITS4) with highly conserved of ITS regions of rDNA through the 5 samples under study and sequencing of the obtained fragment was conducted.........

Abstract:Introduction : Diabetes mellitus comprises a group of common metabolic disorders that share the phenotype of hyperglycaemia due to impaired insulin secretion, variable degree of insulin resistance, and increased glucose production. Due to insulin resistance there is alteration in lipid metabolism and hyperglycaemia leads to oxidative stress in pancreatic βcells ,overload of ROS leads to various complications like diabetic retinopathy . AIM: To assess the oxidative stress in diabetic retinopathy patients. Materials and methods: The study was conducted in SVS medical college between January and March 2014. A total 50 persons of diabetes for more than 5 yrs were taken as controls and 50 persons with uncontrolled diabetes for more than 3 yrs on oral hypoglycemic drugs and insulin therapy having diabetic retinopathy are taken as cases.........

Abstract: With the advancement of technology next generation sequencing, oryza sativa reference genome and genomic variation information has become available. Genomic information accumulating in oryzabase can serve as excellent genotype .Phenotype information that analyzing rice functional and structural large range of intraspecific variability. SmartBLAST accept the FASTA sequence to identify the matches in the sequence search and the SmartBLAST display available information about the query. By applying global and local sequence alignment align the entire sequence (end to end alignment). It usually done in Global alignment by comparing homologous gene like comparing two genes with same function. Tools smart BLAST accepts either a FASTA sequence or a protein accession as input. COBALT is a constant based alignment tool that implements a framework for multiple alignment of protein sequence. In genome sequencing the multiple sequence compare all six sequence to each other and produce optimal alignment between all sequence with ideal for presentation like a phylogenetic tree, that show the relationship among a set of sequence..
