Abstract: Gems and jewellery are part of many cultures and customs around the world. Gems and jewellery have been important part for both aesthetic as well as investment purposes. Gems and jewellery industry has gradually become important for the Indian economy due to its contribution in India's total exports. This sector accounts about 14.98% of the country's total merchandise exports estimated at US$ 262290.13 million in 2015-16. In last four years export of gems and jewellery decreased by 12% and exports got affected by the rising cost of raw materials, depressed demand and slowdown of markets..............

Abstract: While much of our knowledge concerning traditional HR topics (e.g., recruiting, compensation, or performance management) in large firms may also apply in small or emerging organizations, evidence suggests that new ventures are different and that management of people within them may not clearly map to management within larger, more established organizations. This paper reviews extant research on managing people within small and emerging ventures and highlights additional questions that have not yet been addressed. Abstract: Thispaper is an in-depth study of an important phenomenon of the society that is literacy. Through this paper a thorough study regarding literacy, its concepts, definitions, measures, development and itssocioeconomic aspects, have been studied. During this study, it has been observed that over a period of time literacy has come out as battle in developing as well as developed countries. That has been calculated on the basis of cost incurred as a ratio of GDP to different countries.Over significant time duration literacy has been molded into a new term coined as functional literacy thereby making it necessary to go into the depth of such emerging concept in different fields of interest.............

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to look at the role of performance contracting in strategy implementation in commercial state corporations in Kenya. Strategy development and execution is key in enhancing organizational competitiveness. Among the strategy implementation tools, performance contracting plays a key role in engaging organizational staff. Problems in performance contracting and strategy implementation in state corporations led the researcher to formulating a research problem which guided the research process. The results will be used to solve strategy implementation problems thus improving performance.............

Abstract: Slum electrification in Kenya has always been faced by diverse challenges across the country. These challenges includes, the apathy to pay electricity connection fees, customers billing due to security issues and illegal tapping of electricity from Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) low voltage lines. Abstract: The effects of media advertising on Hero beer on consumers' purchase intent in Awka, Anambra State, were tested in this study, using the AIDCA theory of advertising, an extension of AIDA. AIDCA is an acronym for the attention, interest, desire, conviction, and action which an advertisement is expected to induce in consumers. The study focused on the effects which the variables of media advertising (TV, radio, and billboard) had on beer consumers' purchase intent of Hero beer, using the AIDCA model, as well as the effect of a combination of these variables (media-mix) on purchase intent. Abstract: Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) are the biggest contributors to the economy of any country and the same goes with Indian economy. SMEs' success much depends upon effective working capital management. This paper deals with working capital management in P L Plast Pvt ltd, which is an Indian Small Enterprise of Nellore district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is an ISI certified company. In this paper an attempt is made to examine the structure and composition of working capital in the Enterprise during the period of study covering ten years from 2006-07 to 2015-16. An attempt is also made to analyze the liquidity position, to find the gross working and networking turnover and to examine the efficiency in cash, debtors and inventory management in the Small Enterprise under study.
