Abstract: Mining landscapes are often interpreted from net land cover gains and losses, yet such summaries can conceal substantial exchanges among cultivated land, exposed substrates, settlements, vegetation and water filled excavations. This study examined landscape reconfiguration across a 335.66Km² mapped portion of Jos South Local Government Area (L.G.A.) Plateau State, Nigeria, between 2000 and 2026.
