Abstract: From the beginning the act of translation holds an important place in the literary encounters of different languages and cultures. It is the act of translation that brought the literary canons of the past masters to the later vicinity throughout ages. Thus the translation transcends the boundary of a culture, nation acts as the agent for cross cultural assimilation and literary hybridity. In the present time translation does not remains a mere word to word presentation of a literary work to other language. Rather translation opens up the opportunity for transcreation. When a literary product gets translated to another language with a different cultural background and heritage, the process of translation serves double purpose- while at one hand it helps the literary work to attain wide acknowledgement and broader readership...........

Abstract: This paper revolves around the concept of "Smart Cities‟ where Rajasthan is hoping to position at least 4-5 cities as its exclusive, smart and heritage cities with Ajmer being on the top of the list. The government of Rajasthan has signed a MoU with the United States Trade Development Agency (USTDA) to collaborate on Ajmer. The Central Government has also setup a task force to examine the plans for the city. Historically, Ajmer is a very famous city with its Holy Pushkar and Sufi shrine drawing millions of pilgrims from around the world every year. Title | : | An analysis of the pattern of employment of Female workers within the Tertiary sector of India |
Country | : | India |

Abstract: The tertiary sector is the most dynamic sector of the economy today, in terms of both output and employment. Post liberalization, the tertiary sector contributes more than half of the GDP and employs the second highest labour force after agriculture. The economic reforms of 1991 raised the hope of increased labour participation of women with the rise of new services like IT, BPO and expansion of existing services like education and health etc. However, though liberalization of services did see an improvement in the various spheres of life of women, there has not been much of a change in terms of their employment status. Evidence shows that women still concentrate in informal sector and in jobs which are ill paid with little upward mobility. The present study analyses the position of female main and marginal workers of the tertiary sector with respect to socio-economic demographic parameters and comes up with policy prescriptions on how to increase the employment level of women in this sector.

Abstract: The paper examines the role of language in the successful communication of sports with particular focus on aspects of Lexico-semantic variations of Nigerian English, to identify the typologies, their essence and significance for sports communication. Using the Sports Magazine, Complete Football International as source of data, the findings reveal that apart from the conventional categories, the lexico-semantic variations employed on the sports pages include some distinct forms which may be traced to constraints of professional ethics, and the creative efforts of sport writers. Although most the typologies are derived from the English language lexical stock, they have been made to undergo various modifications to give them new forms and functions in the context of sports reporting. Examples of these include.........
