Abstract: Background: This study takes the Dinghu Mountain Scenic Area in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, as a case example to explore how short video platforms (TikTok) influence the dissemination and construction of a tourist destination's image. Using the Webscraper plugin and a Python crawler program, we scraped user comments and shared content on the TikTok platform from January 2023 to May 2024 using the keyword “Dinghu Mountain.” After filtering the data, we employed network text analysis methods (high-frequency word statistics and sentiment analysis) to analyze tourists' cognitive perceptions and emotional responses toward the scenic area.........
