Abstract: Nursing Informatics (NI) a sub-set of health information technologies (HIS), specific to the field and the role of the nurse in the healthcare setting is a specialty that integrates nursing science with multiple information and analytical sciences to identify, manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and wisdom in nursing practice.
