Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Sugijati || I G.A. Karnasih || JeniePalupi |
Abstract:This research generally aims to study the effect of cigarette smoke on guinea pig with endometrial angiogenesis. This research is a laboratory experiment with posttest design using experimental and control groups (post-test only control group design). The study was conducted to subjects with a variety of ferns smoke K Group as a control group that was not given smoke. Treatment group (P) was divided into P1 as the group given cigarette smoke as much as 1 pack/24 hours. P2 group was given 2 packs of cigarette smoke/24 hours. P3 group was given 3packs of cigarette smoke/24 hours.Treatment in group P1 to P3 is given once in a day.Surgery was done after day 12 to take its endometrium. Then, it was examined to observe its morphology. The result of those 4 treatment groups were compared with control group. Based on the calculation, it was obtained that the sample size of 40 guinea pigs were divided into 4 groups, each group consisted of 10 guinea pigs. Todivide the sampling, the researchers used complete random sampling technique.The results showed that exposure of cigarette smoke affect significantly against endometrial angiogenesis on guinea pigs (Musmusculus) with F value of 3.186 and a significant value of 0.034. Exposure to higher amount of cigarette smoke will further decrease the thickness of the endometrial angiogenesis.

Title | : | Differences In The Speed Of Wound Healingby Provision Of Betadine And Chitosan On Guinea Pig (Mus - Musculus) |
Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Ida Prijatni || Yuniasih || Susilawati |
Abstract: Wound is a condition whensome body tissues are lost or broken. It may be caused by incision, as the effect of surgery. Wound healing is started since the injury happens and the skin will be the first defender from dangerous organisms.To fasten wound healing, the wound must be kept in clean and sterile condition. Betadin And Chitosan will be able to helpthe healing process by maintaining the wound hygiene. It willalso stimulate tissues growth. A quick healing process will lessen the risk of infection. This research used True Experiment technique by using the Post Test Only Control Group Design. The sample were 25 guinea pigs (Mus - musculus) aged 8-10 weekswith body weightabout 25-30 grams and in good health. The analysis technique was using One-Way ANOVA.

Abstract: Background: Sleep is a basic need much as food and water, which are necessary for human survival. Sleep is a periodic, reversible state of cognitive and sensory disengagement from the external environment with a complex physiologic and behavioral process essential for rest, repair, well-being, and survival. This study aimed to identify factors associated with sleep pattern disturbance among patients in critical care units. A descriptive design was applied in the current study. The study was conducted at critical care units (Intensive Care Units & Cardiac Care Units) at Port Said city hospitals. A convenience sample of 86 patients was included. Three tools were used for data collection; interviewing questionnaire sheet, Groningen's sleep quality Scale and Modified Sleep disturbing scale.
