Abstract: Résumé

Abstract: Summary Eales disease, described by Henry Eales in 1880, is an occlusive peripheral retinal vasculitis progressing to ischemia and neovascularization, often associated with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. A 41-year-old Moroccan woman with a family history of tuberculous contact presented with 3 months of decreased vision in the left eye (OD 10/10, OS 5/10). Examination showed preretinal hemorrhage, peripheral venous sheathing and neovascularization; fluorescein angiography revealed extensive peripheral nonperfusion with neovascular leakage. Tuberculin skin test (18 mm) and QuantiFERON TB Gold were positive, chest X-ray was normal, and chest CT scan (thoracic...

Abstract: In Nigeria, prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and the leading cause of cancer related deaths among men. Among its many complications, metastasis to the spine with subsequent paraplegia is a dreaded one. Paraplegia in prostate cancer is caused by metastatic epidural spinal cord compression (MESCC). This was a retrospective study...

Abstract: Background: Composite discoloration, recurrent caries and microleakage causing sensitivity are the common reasons for replacing dental composites. A disclosing agent that only stains the composite or stains it more than the tooth would help in identifying the boundaries of composite and facilitate its replacement. Paprika dye can effectively stain various composites from enamel and dentin, preventing tooth loss by precisely identifying tooth restorative margins.
Aim: To evaluate the Effectiveness of Paprika dye for disclosing flowable and short fiber reinforced composite resin in enamel and dentin....

Abstract: Abstract: Failure of tooth eruption leading to complete clinical edentulism in young adults is exceedingly rare. When compounded by embedded dentition and altered bone morphology, prosthetic rehabilitation becomes complex due to compromised ridge form, limited retention areas and undercuts. This report describes a young adult in her early twenties presenting with complete absence of erupted teeth, despite radio graphic evidence of full permanent dentition retained within the jaws. Panoramic imaging revealed generalized embedded teeth but no associated....

Abstract: Focal cemento-osseous dysplasia (FCOD) is a benign fibro-osseous lesion commonly affecting middle-aged women and usually presents as an asymptomatic lesion in the posterior mandible. Symptomatic presentation in elderly male patients is rare. This report describes a 72-year-old male with pain, swelling, and pus discharge in the left posterior mandibular edentulous region. Radiographic evaluation revealed a mixed radiolucent-radiopaque lesion with cortical....
