Title | : | Bayesian Approach for Sclera Recognition |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | V. Bharathi |
Abstract: Researchers are trying to find new biometrics to provide more options for human ID. Here, we propose a new approach for human ID: sclera recognition. Sclera patterns can be used for human classification and identification since the blood vessel structure of the sclera is unique to each person. Even twins do not have same sclera patterns. Sclera can be acquired at a distance under visible wavelength illumination. But extracting blood vessel pattern is a challenging research problem because images of sclera vessel patterns are often defocused and/or saturated and, most importantly, the vessel structure in the sclera is multilayered and has complex nonlinear deformations.

Authors | : | J.Sudhakar || A. Mallikarjuna Prasad || Ajit Kumar Panda |
Abstract: This work scrutinizes the implementation and performance analysis of novel self-timed asynchronous logic. These templates are based on a delay-insensitive (DI) logic paradigm known as NULL Convention Logic (NCL) that supports RTZ protocol, includes clock-free operation, dual-rail encoding and monotonic transitions. Potential benefits include inherent robustness, low power, reduced noise ratio, easy design reuse and reduced switching activity. In this work quantitative analysis have been carried out on both conventional static CMOS approach and the proposed static NCL approach using Tanner tools and the corresponding power, delay, noise and power-delay product for both designs have been collected and compared.

Abstract: With the water requirements in irrigation being large, there is a need for a smart irrigation system that can save about 80% of the water. This prototype aims at saving time and avoiding problems like constant vigilance. It also helps in water conservation by automatically providing water to the plants/gardens depending on their water requirements. It can also prove to be efficient in Agricultural fields, Lawns & Parks. As technology is advancing, there is always a chance of reducing risks and making work simpler. Embedded and micro controller systems provide solutions for many problems. This application precisely controls water system for gardens by using a sensor micro controller system. It is achieved by installing sensors in the field to monitor the soil temperature and soil moisture which transmits the data to the microcontroller for estimation of water demands of plants.

Authors | : | Ms.Shruthi R || Mrs. Sharmila K.P |
Abstract: Recent advancement in vehicular wireless applications is also a major contributing factor in spectrum scarcity. Cognitive radio technique is applied to Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) to increase frequency bandwidth. Fast and reliable detection of primary user is the key component of cognitive radio networks. In this paper, we are considering a CR system that uses spectrum sensing based on the Time-Domain Symbol Cross-correlation (TDSC) technique, This paper examines the performance of spectrum sensing using Time-Domain Symbol Cross-correlation over correlated Rayleigh channel, in the context of the Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks for which the TDSC method is explained analytically and illustrated with numerical results obtained from simulations. The relevant simulation results are presented to support our analytical results for average miss detection probability.

Title | : | A Comparative Study of Underwater Wireless Optical Communication for Three Different Communication Links |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Pearl Antonette Mendez || Rithu James |
Abstract: The importance of underwater wireless optical communication has grown recently for applications of underwater observation and sea monitoring systems. This communication technology is expected to play a prominent role in investigating climate changes, prediction of natural disasters, and discovery of natural resources, marine biology in lake, sea and ocean environments. Acoustic technology is mostly used for establishing wireless communication link among divers and ships, or sending long range remote signals. Sound waves travel through water faster than in air, receiving very little attenuation. Due to frequency attenuation characteristic of acoustic waves in water, it is difficult to expand its bandwidth. Acoustic approach cannot achieve high data rate, and also portable communication devices are difficult to be designed at lower cost. So the best option is to go for an underwater optical wireless communication system.

Title | : | An Efficient Noise Removing Technique Using Mdbut Filter in Images |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | S. Kishor Krishna Kumar || Mennaiah Batta |
Abstract: It is important to remove or minimize the degradations, noises in valuable ancient blurred color images. The traditional available filtering methodologies are applicable for fixed window dimensions only these are not applicable for varying scale images. In our project we propose a new technique for digital image restoration, in this the noise free and noisy pixels are classified based on empirical multiple threshold values. Then the median filtering technique is applied. So that noise free pixels are getting preserved and only noisy pixels get restored.

Title | : | FPGA Implementation of Reduced Precision Redundancy Protected Parallel Fir Filters |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sneha P || Mrs. Jamuna S |
Abstract: In Signal processing and Communication systems, Digital Filters are widely used for computational purposes. These filters must be protected from induced faults. For these systems, filters must be implemented in such a way as to achieve fault tolerance so that reliability is improved. Many techniques have been proposed that exploit filter structures and properties. As technology scales, complex systems use many filters. In those complex systems, some of the filters operate in parallel. Parallel Filters are those filters whose impulse response is same for different inputs that produce different outputs.,

Authors | : | Dr. Deepti Gupta |
Abstract: This paper proposed the method of low power consumption for WSN system. When the RF communication is done each tag node during the WSN systems operating , power consumption is greatest. Therefore, we configure the network with the RF communication module that turn on/off periodically, power consumption less than operating the module all the time without it toggles. Experimental results confirmed that there were no data omissions and the life time can be 12 times longer than existing WSN system. Abstract: For multimedia transmissions over wireless networks multicasting is emerging as an enabling technology to support several groups of users with flexible quality of service (QoS) requirements. Despite multicast has huge potential to push the limits of next generation communication systems it is yet one of the most challenging issues currently being addressed. In this paper, presented diferent multicast scheduling techniques in MIMO-OFDMA (Multiple Input and Multiple Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system and dynamic resource allocation based on physical layer. Physical layer on OFDMA is dedicated to handle the details of data transmission and reception between two or more stations. This paper provides information about various optimal and suboptimal multicast scheduling techniques used in adaptive resource allocation. We discuss existing standards employing adaptive resourse allocation in multicasting and further gives satisfactory information for the researcher to work on physical layer based multicast scheduling in OFDMA for adptive resource allocation.

Abstract: Horn antennas are widely used in microwave frequency range. They are also used as standard for calibration and gain measurements of other antennas. They are used as feed elements for reflectors and lens antennas and universal. In addition they also find use in radio frequency heating, nondestructive testing and biomedicine. An optimum pyramidal horn to provide gain of 20dB and center frequency 9.5GHz is designed. Using aluminum sheet of thickness 2mm, the antenna is fabricated. The performance parameters like gain, directivity, impedance and s parameters are evaluated analytically as well as experimentally. The results are discussed. The scheme of measurement can be implemented even in the absence of costly equipment like power meter or network analyzer to get an idea of the antenna parameters.

Abstract: The telecommunication industry has been developing at a very fast rate. This paper presents the performance enhancement of the WiMAX system (Worldwide Interoperability for microwave Access) by using MIMO Technique. WiMAX an emerging global broadband wireless OFDM-based technology that provide high quality broadband services. Mobile WiMAX is a wireless networking system which provides wireless broadband to fixed and mobile terminals. In this paper, we investigated the performance of WiMAX system for different modulation technique Quadrature Phase Shift keying (QPSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM). In this paper, we evaluate bit-error rate performance of WiMAX system with zigzag coded modulation with different code rate and code length. The results show that the proposed zigzag-coded modulation presents a stronger error correcting capability as compared to the Reed Solomon with Convolutional code.

Title | : | Design & Implementation of Remote Monitoring System for Measuring Green House Gas Emissions at Landfill Sites and Industries Using Raspberry Pi2 |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | K. Tharun Kumar Reddy || N. Kiran Kumar || Dr. G.N Kodanda Ramaiah |
Abstract: The primary causes for the increasing global warming are the green house gases which are emitted from the major sites like Industries and Landfill (Waste Disposal) sites. So the proper monitoring of these sites is the prime concern. Because the long term exposure to these harmful gases cause severe heart and brain related diseases to the living beings. With proper monitoring of these sites especially the landfill sites, the awareness about the concentration of these gases emitted into the environment can be created to the peoples who are living around the landfill sites. The main aim of the proposed system is to develop a cost effective Remote monitoring system especially for the small area of landfill sites, which is capable to measure the temperature, humidity and pressure in the surroundings of the landfill site, concentration levels of the greenhouse gases like Methane (CH4), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Carbon monoxide (CO). The proposed system will send the information around the selected sites automatically to the respective authorities when the toxic levels exceeds the Permissible limits and also the public are allowed to access the system through "SMS" on demand service to know the concentration levels of the toxic gases around selected landfill site.
