Title | : | Primarily School Teachers' Knowledge Before and After Teaching First Aid Measures about Avulsed or Broken Permanent Incisor among Children |
Country | : | Egypt |
Authors | : | Amina Mohamed Thabet || Hekmat Ibrahim Abed El kerim |
Abstract:Children spend a considerable amount in school where teachers are the primary caregivers.
Children are especially sensitive about missing anterior teeth. Immediate re-plantation of avulsed or knocked
out teeth more often contributes to an improved self-image and enhances self-esteem in children. Hence, :Aim
to assess the primarily school teachers' knowledge before and after teaching first aid measures about avulsed
or broken permanent incisor among children. Design: Quasi-experimental research design was utilized to meet
the aim of the study. Convenient sample included 184 teachers (study and control group) at 8 primarily public
schools in Assuit City.

Aim of the study: Assess work design characteristics (task characteristics, knowledge characteristics, social characteristics, and work context ) as perceived by nurse managers at Assiut University Hospital. Subject and method: A descriptive study design was used in the present study. The study subject consisted of all the nurse managers having bachelor degree of nursing. A self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection. It included two parts. The first was concerned with data about nurse managers personal data as age and years of experiences. The second was work design characteristics questionnaire which consisted of seventy four items.

Title | : | Effects of Walking Exercise Program on Chemotherapy Induced Fatigue, Physical Functional Status, and Symptoms Distress Among Cancer Patients |
Country | : | Egypt |
Authors | : | Wafaa Gameel Mohamed Ali || Hanan Mohamed Mohamed Soliman |
Abstract: Numerous studies declared that exercise (including slight- to moderate-intensity walking exercise) has potential profits for people with cancer. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of walking exercise program on chemotherapy induced fatigue, physical functional status, and symptoms distress among cancer patients. Methodology; A quasi experimental design, pre and post intervention was used. A convenience sample of fifty eight cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy were randomly assigned to either control group (no 28), which received ordinary ward care or to a study group (no 30), which received walking exercise for 12-minutes per day, 5 days /week for 3 sequential weeks. Effects of the proposed walking exercise were assessed by four parameters; fatigue intensity, fatigue interference as measured by Brief Fatigue Inventory, physical functional status as measured with walking distance in twelve minute, and symptom distress, that measured by Symptom Distress Scale. Data were collected four times: before (baseline or day 1), day 7, day 14, and day twenty one of intervention.

Title | : | Effect Of Maternal Health Education On The Health Knowledge Of Pregnant Mothers Attending Ante-Natal Clinics In Anambra State, Nigeria. |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Nwankwo, Clementina U || Okafor, Jerome O || Makachi, Monica C || Anieche, John E || Chiejina, Edith N || Egboka, Oluchukwu L. |
Abstract: Maternal mortality is a tragedy for the family, as the death of a mother deprives the child of breast feeding and can result in infant mortality. Maternal health education is aimed at improving health knowledge of mothers. This study was designed to determine the effect of maternal health education on the health knowledge of pregnant mothers attending antenatal clinics in Anambra State, Nigeria. Demographic variables of age group and location were considered in this study. Quasi-experimental pre-test, post-test, control non randomized design was used for the study. The sample consisted of 211 pregnant women attending antenatal clinics in the sampled health facilities in Anambra State. Purposive sampling technique was adopted for the study. A validated and reliable Maternal Health Knowledge Questionnaire (MHKQ) was the instrument for data collection. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistic of means for answering the research questions (mean difference). The null hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) at .05 level of significance. The results among others showed that mothers in experimental group recorded higher mean difference health knowledge scores (8.99) more than those in control group (mean difference for health knowledge scores = 1.11). Maternal health education had significant influence on health knowledge of pregnant mothers (P < .05). Researchers therefore concluded that maternal health education increased health knowledge of pregnant mothers. Hence, they recommended among others that maternal health education must be upheld in every antenatal clinic.

Abstract: Amelogenesis Imperfecta is a disorder which affects the enamel structurally as well as clinically of all or nearly all the teeth in a more or less equal manner.AI is a group of inherited defects of dental enamel formation that shows both clinical and genetic heterogeneity. Enamel findings in AI are highly variable, ranging from deficient enamel formation to defect in the mineral and protein content. AI exists in association or associated with other abnormalities in syndromes. This case report describes the therapeutic planning and rehabilitative procedure experienced by a patient affected by AI.
