Abstract: Introduction: Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare disease often diagnosed late due to a variable clinical presentation and a lack of understanding of the disease. Morbi-mortality is linked to upper airway edema and abdominal crises. HAE has an impact on the physical and psychological well-being of patients as well as their educational and professional activities. In this study we aimed to delineate the epidemiological and the clinical profile of Algerian patients with HAE, with or without C1 inhibitor (C1-INH) deficiency.
Methods: This prospective study enrolled 99 patients diagnosed with hereditary angioedema (HAE) between 2014 and 2017......
Key Words: Angioedema, Bradykinin, C1 inhibitor, abdominal pain, laryngeal edema

Abstract: The STITCH trial1 has become a pivotal study in surgical practice, emphasising on the most effective methods for abdominal wall closure. This randomised controlled trial compares small bites to large bites for the fascial closure of midline laparotomy wounds, generating considerable attention within the surgical community. The data indicate a possible decrease in incisional hernia rates associated with the small bites approach, hence questioning conventional practices. Nonetheless.....

Abstract: Background: Gingival black triangles, caused by the absence of interdental papilla, create cosmetic issues, affect speech, and lead to food retention. Reconstruction of the interdental papilla (IDP) is one of the most technique sensitive periodontal therapies. This study compares the clinical efficacy of Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin (i-PRF) and Injectable Hyaluronic Acid (HA) for restoring deficient interdental papilla.
Materials and Methods: The clinical parameters included the gingival and plaque index, periodontal probing depth, papilla presence index along with radiographic parameter. 44 sites were selected and divided into two groups: Group A.......

Abstract: Occlusion is impacted by nearly every Dental operation. Poor Occlusion reduces one's quality of life. Occlusal contacts must coordinate with the stomatognathic system to operate properly. The notion of occlusion is not just restricted to morphological contact interactions between the teeth but also the dynamic morphofunctional interactions between all the masticatory elements. Unusual occlusal contacts usually lead to occlusal trauma. It has been illustrated that periodontal tissues and even dental implants may deteriorate under higher bite forces and/or excursive overload. Recently the computerized occlusal force analysis tool called T-Scan is used to improve efficiency......
