Abstract: The gluteal region, an anatomical segment of notable morphofunctional relevance, constitutes a sophisticated topographic complex with structural organization, whose detailed understanding is essential in the scope of biomedical sciences. Its importance transcends the purely biomechanical domain, extending to the clinical, surgical and therapeutic spheres, due to its active participation in locomotion, maintenance of orthostatic posture and support of body mass. The application of fillers for gluteal harmonization is part of a set of tools available for the aesthetic and functional approach......

Abstract: The etiology of Oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) has not yet established fully, but may be related to betelnut chewing, in the late stage it leads to progressive restriction of maximum mouth opening. Many medical and surgical options have been tried for relief of trismus with little success rates. In this study 3 patients with trismus from a rural area were treated successfully using coblation. This technique is being reported for the first time in the management of trismus due to OSF.....

Abstract: Bernard-Soulier syndrome (BSS) is an autosomal recessive bleeding disorder characterized by thrombocytopenia and the presence of giant platelets. In this rare case report, we describe the course of pregnancy and delivery in a 25 year old Primigravida who is a known case of Bernard-Soulier syndrome, at a gestational age of 38 weeks + 1 day with fetus in Breech presentation. The patient had bleeding manifestations and underwent multiple platelet transfusions before undergoing.....

Abstract: Background: Brain tumor is inherently serious and life threatening disease. It builds the intracranial pressure in the brain, by shifting the brain or pushing against the skull and also damaging nerves and healthy brain tissues. The intracranial pressure affects and interferes with normal brain functionally which results in generation of abnormal electrical activities from brain. With recent development in the medical engineering and instruments, EEG instrument are able to record the brain electric activities with high accuracy.EEG is reliable in localizing lesions involving superficial.....

Abstract: The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate color stability and translucency of milled and 3D printed PMMA crowns and effect of artificial ageing, when different interim implant abutment materials are used.
Material and methods: A narrow diameter implant analogue at right and left lateral incisor site in a maxillary dentate stone cast was used. Forty eight PMMA crowns were divided into two groups according to manufacturing process: milled (n=24) and 3D printed (n=24) and they were tested against titanium coated with ceramic opaquer and.....

Abstract: Chemotherapy serves as a pivotal treatment for neoplasms, yet its impact on normal structures, the oral cavity for instance, can be devastating. The use of chemotherapy will invariably lead to the cessation of cell replication, resulting in numerous, systemic, and oral side effects including but not limited to: mucositis, xerostomia, infections, and an increase in bleeding tendencies. This review article focuses on the analysis of the mechanisms of.....

Abstract: Non-invasive aesthetic strategies for harmonic body contour redefinition increasingly incorporate systemic physiological manipulations rather than superficial modifications. This study investigates a dual-modality protocol that combines electrostimulation with low-frequency currents, better known as functional electrical stimulation (FES), and low-frequency ultrasound (LFUS) to modify body contour through the architecture of adipose and muscle tissue. The combination of techniques addresses both the metabolism of lipolysis/apoptosis substrates and the.....
