Title | : | Awareness And Use Of The National Agency For Food And Drug Administration And Control's Mobile Authentication Service For Detecting Counterfeit Drugs In Nigeria. |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Johnson Egbemudia Dudu Ph.D || Marcus N. Danjuma Ph.D |
Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the reasons for the low usage of NAFDAC's Mobile Authentication Service (MAS) in Nigeria with the objectives of assessing the awareness and utilisation level of the service. Mixed methods of both quantitative as well as qualitative techniques such as in-depth interview with 10 persons and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with 30 participants in 4 locations were used to solicit for information to achieve the objectives of the study. Results from the study indicated that awareness and use of MAS is low in the studied area due to low mobilisation of the population especially in rural communities, poor network of mobile phones service providers, partial implementation of MAS among drugs manufacturers and poor infrastructures. The study recommended increase tempo of awareness creation to get more persons to be aware of MAS, discussion with mobile network service providers, get all drugs manufacturers to adopt MAS and general improvement in infrastructures by government.

Title | : | The Politics of the United Nations Reform in the Security Council and Other Organs |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Nanna Charlotte Lord-Mallam Phd |
Abstract: The UN being an intricate aspect of world politics and the most visible international institution since WWII has tried to maintain peace globally.In doing so, the UN has been selective in its approach in favour of the founding members. The failure of the League of Nations led to WWII and brought about the founding of the UN which was to guarantee international peace and stability. This research finds the problem of reforming the UN system challenging and the role of the third world agitational, in the whole process. Hence the research primarily set out to achieve the following objectives: to critically examine the current structure of the UN, to examine how these structures particularly the SC impact on the effectiveness of the UN, to analyse the Politics of the reform of the UNSC and to recommend how the flaws in the UNSC might be effectively addressed in the interests of international peace and security.Using the descriptive method, the research argues that like the initial exclusion of the Axis powers and the Soviet Union from the League that led to its collapse, the UN has again excluded not only the Axis powers but also Africa from the UNSC permanent and veto wielding positions.

Title | : | Aspects of Crop Land Use – Perspective of Development, Planning, And Management, Ajay-Mayurakshi Interfluve, Birbhum District, West Bengal, India |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Sandipan Chakraborty || Soumita Ghosh |
Abstract: Land is the basic resource of a nation. Utilization of land, maintains reciprocal relationship between the prevailing ecological condition and human society of any region. Observation of Land and its uses are important aspects of geographical studies and also the processes of exploring the land for specific objectives. The concept of land use implies the interaction between land and environment. The increasing population pressure, low man-land ratio, increasing rate of degradation of land are also responsible for the optimal utilization of land resources. The spatial information on land utilization in the modes of statistical data and associated maps is essential for development.

Abstract: Scientists usually view theories as rationally thought out explanations of some empirically observed phenomena, consisting of sets of interrelated principles that describe relationships in association with those phenomena for the purposes of understanding, explaining, predicting and, possible, seeking evaluation of the results, and eventual control of the events. Three classifications of public administration theories and theory include (a) the whole body of theories; (b) individual theories covering the whole of theories, and (c) individual theories covering particular aspects or phenomena. However, five fine types of administrative theory, namely, descriptive theory; prescriptive theory; normative theory; assumptive theory, and instrumental theory. All these constitute the subject of this article.
Keywords: theories and theory; empirically observed principles; understanding; explaining, predicting, and evaluation.
