The main objective of the study is to determine the influence of socio-cultural factors on fertility. Title | : | Information Policy Advocacy and Lobbying |
Country | : | Zimbabwe |
Authors | : | Dr. Chipo Mutongi || Dr. S. B. M. Marume |
Abstract: If some ideas, decisions and policies are not advocated and lobbed for, they would remain unknown to implementers and to the general public. It is imperative to advocate and lobby for different information policies in order for those in power to see the value and reasons for the formulation and implementation of the information policies. Probably it is lack of awareness that is not bringing those policy changes. This article explores information policy advocacy and lobbying as well as distinguishing information policy advocacy from lobbying. Some reasons for information policy advocacy failure are given and some ways of making information policy advocacy a success are established.

Abstract: - The modern age is marked by anxiety, disgust, frustration, disillusionment, competition and cold war. It has been regarded as an age of interrogation and questioning which has proved the way for many inquisitive minds. Sweeping changes in every field, affected the mode of thinking itself as a result of which new ideas came in to being. The impressions of the age were given vent to in many fields, literature being one of them. The age deprived of values gave no room to serious thinking. According Yeats, it is a world in which, "the best lack conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity" Updike is considered to be orthodox in his beliefs...............

Abstract: Language has always been used as a political and social weapon in Kenya with politicians embracing varied strategies that are aimed at promoting aparticular interpretation of a social issue. With the constitutional changes that took place in Kenya, it was not clear whether politicians were to be more guarded in their choice of language for fear of being prosecuted for propagating hate speech. In view of the aforementioned, this study set out to undertake a Comparative Political Discourse Analysis by investigating different Discourse Topics five months before 2007 and 2013 elections.............

Title | : | Landscape Painting in Turkish Art of Painting and Periodical Reflections |
Country | : | Turkey |
Authors | : | Birsen Çeken || Asuman Aypek Arslan |
Abstract: The landscape is an indispensable subject of our painting art just as like the nature which is an indispensable part of the life of human being. In spite of the different movements and applications in the development line, the nature has maintained its dominant place in the art and it has taken place in the values that shaped the art. The landscape painting among the paintings of the Turkish painters shows that the natural scenes were given importance subject and so the number of the paintings with this subject was great. Our getting acquaintance with the painting as an eastern community has led us to paint with our senility towards the natural scenes...........
